We had a great experience at Bistro Roca even though we came here with our infant which was not uneventful. We initially ordered the eggplant frites which ended up being a heaping plate of fried eggplant that tasted almost identical to fries. We were disappointed in the plate and told our server and she took it off our bill - we appreciated the great service! We also ordered the kids meal which was honestly incredible. As I remember it you could select two menu items for like $7. We chose the salmon and macaroni & cheese and our kid decided to be picky so we ended up eating them and it was so incredibly good. In the end, the baby started losing it so our order ended up being one cocktail, one wine, one eggplant frites (sent back) and one kids meal. But the server was lovely and a group of ladies at another table saw what a clownshow we were at our table and took pity on us and paid for our meal. Overall a memorable experience and I look forward to eating here again, but without the kid!

We were a party of 4 have dinner. We had the Roca appetizer whish was great! Flavorful. We also had a smoked potato and bacon bisque soup from the specials, great flavor. After my wife had the mountain trout dish, we also had the Cab Ribeye steak. We had 2 different burgers, the habi and the venison. All food was very tasty and well presented. We did enjoy our first experience. For wine we had the Aimery sparkling wine.

Accommodates gluten-free easily but not dairy-free, especially if you are going for an entree. Fantastic atmosphere & cocktails.

My wife and I came here for our first night away in 6 years. The main restaurant was pretty. I remember their ceiling light particularly. The bar wasn’t bad either.Due to availability, we were seated in the bar. Everything forward was just okay. Our bartender was cordial. My biggest complaint was the food. My beer was okay. Our appetizer wasn’t great, bread and some dips, I believe, but the entrees and price are what irked me most.I got trout and some veggies. The fish had to have been the smallest trout I’d seen. I had next to know veggies. My wife ordered a sandwich and didn’t even finish it. It wasn’t bad food, but I wasn’t blown away by any means. The bill pushed between $70-$90. It wasn’t worth it. At all. We left with a lighter wallet and infilled appetite. My recommendation is the Blowing Rock Brewing Company. We went there for lunch after a long hike the next day. Good food. Great beer. And excellent portions.

Our visit to Bistro Roca was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of culinary delight. Each dish we sampled was a masterpiece in its own right. The mussels in white wine sauce were a revelation, with a broth so divine I contemplated ordering an extra bowl to savor like soup. Our main courses, featuring Trout, Lobster Mac, and Scallops, were all executed flawlessly, each bite bursting with flavor and finesse. To cap off our meal, we indulged in the Apple Cherry Bread Pudding, a dessert that left us speechless with its perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors. The impeccable service only added to the charm of the evening, leaving us feeling pampered and well taken care of.Having lived in Charleston, SC for nearly two years, we can confidently say that our dining experience at Bistro Roca surpassed any meal we had during our time there. It was a culinary journey we won't soon forget, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.

Excellent service on a busy night. Our server continued to take care of us in a friendly manner. The food was excellent. We had brisket and shrimp which we enjoyed. The lemon blueberry bread pudding was excellent too.

The place was good but our server Miranda made it a poor experience. Won’t be going back.
