We had one of the best dining experiences we have had to date. Our serving professional Cody was so knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. We had the Grouper and scallops and neither my husband nor I wanted our meal to be over. It was just excellent. I also recommend their twist on the old fashion..Excellent!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free options

I was so looking forward to this dinner as we are year around locals. My escargot was flavorless soaked in a sort-of Alfredo sauce and wilted greens, with equally flavorless puff pastry on the top. This is not French escargot, as you market yourself. When the server asked me if I enjoyed it, I was honest. I told her it was flavorless. The entrees were served. Everyone else’s was perfect, but my octopus, had so much salt on it I couldn’t eat it. I asked the server did she tell the chef what I said about the escargot and she said yes. So there you have it. He got me back with salt. I will never support this restaurant again. So not cool.

Don't sleep on this place. The night we visited was very cold, they were very busy, we had no reservation; no problem, we were seated on the patio with heaters and blankets. The wine and food were delicious. We started with beef tartar and a cheese plate that was beautifully presented. Followed by the French onion soup and scallop entree. The service was excellent and we enjoyed sitting on the patio.

One of my favorite restaurants in Blowing Rock. Intimate, quaint, lovely staff and owners that are dedicated to their generosity in service and giving back to the community. Ellen in particular is a joy and very knowledgeable in regard to wine and menu selections. Beautiful wine selection and delicious food. Love the seasonal salads with the surprise smear of goat cheese under the veggies and the toasted baguette. The Duckfat fries are delicious and the cheese sampler plates are fun. We have sampled the Halibut, Filet Mignon, Octopus, Seared Scallops and a variety of desserts. All of the produce and meats are locally sourced. Living here part time, I always make reservations 2 weeks prior to arrival at my favorite restaurants and this one is at the top of the list.

Very underwhelming - French is our favorite and it's hard to find restaurants that have classically trained chefs, unfortunately we won't be back. no bread, no drinks, no wine, clearly they wanted to turn our table quickly. French Onion soup inedible, Acorn Salad was nice, entrees were average good ingredient composition just executed poorly. Server was disinterested. We went on Friday night- more staff than guests, probably should have taken that as a sign yet the host was very taken back that we didn't have a reservation- but again, the place was empty and they sat us next to the only 2-top in the place.

We happened upon this restaurant when everywhere else in Blowing Rock had a 1hr+ wait. They were able to seat us at the bar immediately. The service was very good with great attention to detail. The food was excellent and we would definitely recommend. It is a little pricey, but the quality in service, atmosphere, and food were a match for the money. Also, I believe our servers name was Michael and he did a wonderful job!

So we decided to visit this place because we had heard so many good things about it! The food was very good, a bit under seasoned however. The place was beautiful... well the 5 ft we could see of it. We walked in the door and sat down. It was my 45th birthday celebration, but we seemed like an after thought to be honest. Also no one even acted like they knew it was my birthday considering it was asked about when making reservations.I ordered the octopus, my wife had scallops and my son the halibut. We shared the escargot, and putine. All the meals and apps we're cooked wonderfully, just needed a slight more seasoning! My biggest concern... the service! It was very slow. I do know how restaurants work and understand if it's super busy.. that wasn't the issue here. We would have to wait 15-20 mins to refresh a drink or to offer dessert or anything else. All in all, a solid 4. Hoping things get a little better on our next experience here.

Lovely! This was an unplanned visit. We were headed to dine somewhere else in Blowing Rock. Because it was unplanned, we could only get outdoor seating. But it worked out for us.We met the owner, Sunshine. Nice lady. We ordered the steak tartare, the soup du jour was this amazing creamy based pepper (like a pepper bisque) with a bit of a kick. I loved it so much, I dipped the focaccia into the soup. Delicious! We also shared the halibut for dinner. So you may notice the plate has been split. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out on the lovely downtown street & watching people and families walk by. It was a pleasant experience.
