Very expensive. And they barely post their prices, likely on purpose. Just a small paper on the side wall right when you get up to order. Single scoop in cup was over $7, and it was really just average quality. I should have known to beware of a place that hides their pricing.
Got a sea salt and caramel ice cream on a waffle cone. Best tasting ice cream I've had in ages. Took it across the street to the park, sat on a bench and watched the world go by.
Great place to take your grandchildren and for grandma to get some great sweets.
Every Kilwins is a great Kilwins. I was pleasantly surprised to find one in blowing rock. Last time we had it was in key West. Got a scoop of some fudge flavor as well as raspberry sorbet. Both amazing. Can't wait to find another !
This place is a must-stop whenever we visit the area. You can smell the yumminess before you even open the door. Ice cream, fudge, dipped pretzels, toffee, almond bark, and dipped apples are some of our favorites! Try it! You won't be disappointed!
The ice cream was good, but definitely not worth almost 9 dollars for a regular cone. I went in thinking I would spend no more than four or five dollars like most shops that sell ice cream.
The raspberry ice cream was awesome. I also got some Fudge and my only regret was I did not get more. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will come back the next time I am in the area.
3 stars because the ice cream is obnoxiously overpriced. $19 for two cones?! The ice cream is good, but not worth THAT kind of money
First time trying fudge! Was very impressed.
Great shop and very nice owner!

The ice cream is good, but the "homemade" (it really appears to be made there) fudge is the worst I've ever had. Dowb the road at Tweetsie is some of the best I've ever had (and I'm a local unaffiliated with either)

Use to go here as a kid with my Dad when we went to Blowing Rock Stables to ride horses. Great memories as a kid ? Now I take my kids here so they can experience a little piece of my childhood. Staff is super sweet! It's like you stepped back in time when things were less hectic. Will always be one of my favorite places to visit when I come to BR! I hope the staff and their families are okay after Hurricane Hellene. Prayers going out to everyone in western NC. ??

Stopping by Kilwin’s is a must when you’re having a touristy day in Blowing Rock. It stays busy so be prepared to wait, but the line moves fairly quickly. The ice cream is delicious and they have so many flavor options.
Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn’t enjoy ice cream?
