I had the kale and quinoa salad which was quite good. I got it to go. The chimichurri aioli was a little spicy and only enhanced the salad. I like how the tofu was cooked. Quite good. Service amazing. Going back to try the lentil burger that is only available for lunch.

Not what it used to be. Not upscale. $13 for a panini with no sides and little meat with on 4 pieces of spinach. Wait staff nice but no longer nicely dressed nor management. Hostess was the only one presentable. Menu no longer has flatbreads nor the classics Storie Street sandwich’s. The new side car addition introduced smash burgers which replaced their classic burger and the prices make you question why garlic aioli is $2. Very disappointed and sad to see the old go

Wren was very cheerful and pointed out several items on the menu to us. We felt we were friends and guests and not just diners. Coming from Treasure Island, Florida, which was also devastated by Helene, we were surprised at the quality and number of items on the menu, given the proximity to the storm path. Try the pear and prosciutto spinach salad!!

Dietary restrictions: My wife has gluten and soy allergies but our server, Victor, was quick to help and point out a delicious meal

One of my favorite places in blowing rock. Fantastic food and cocktails. Nice enough for date night, but relaxed enough to be there after a hike without feeling under dressed and out of place. Get a reservation on the weekends if you can. It is a relatively small dining room that fills up quickly during the busy season. The new side car bar is a great spot to stop for a drink and a snack

Vegetarian options: There are plenty of meat free options

Recommended dishes: Salmon Stack, Monte Cristo Sandwich, Asparagus Fries, Calamari, Pasta Inferno, Baba Ghanoush

Being generous with the rating because maybe we just weren’t the type for this place. I ordered the watermelon salad with an extra protein of grilled chicken, and in my naïveté I anticipated that meant the components of this meal would come on or in a salad (you know, the kind with lettuce), but what came to me was an appetizer plate with 5 pieces of triangle-sliced watermelon, with a few pieces of tomato/cucumber, 2 slices of rolled prosciutto, and some feta scattered on the plate, conservatively drizzled in balsamic. Then came a separate plate with a small piece of grilled chicken sliced into strips. This does not a salad make. I am so sorry but this was genuinely just a fancy fruit plate with chicken on the side. I didn’t want to be rude and tried my best to give it a chance but I thought at least it would be like…a real salad. Not just…pieces of watermelon??? Truly so bizarre. The staff was very nice and friendly, but the whole meal overall was just Fine, not really worth revisiting and definitely not worth the price.

Had a drink at the side bar and a wonderful dinner afterwards. We had fried green tomatoes as a starter, pasta inferno and shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits are unique as it's a pesto sauce and was fantastic. Pasta inferno was good as well, had a decent kick but not overpowering. Service was spot on and the ambiance is nice.

Gave this place a shot and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken salad sandwich was fantastic. My friend had a burger and loved it. Will definitely be back.

Always enjoyed sitting out on the patio enjoying the fresh air and views. They have renovated this place and it is not positive. We asked for patio seating which was totally enclosed in heavy plastic windows and the view is gone as the railings have been replaced with heavy dark wooden boards. The noise level was absurd with laughing, loud people and clanking dishes being moved into the outdoor kitchen. My fries ($2.00 upcharge) were so salty I could hardly eat them. The Monte Christo and blackened chicken sandwiches were good.
All I can say is "the thrill is gone".

Food was delicious! Not a big fan of grits but the grits with the trout made me want to come back another day in a row. The fillet was also delicious and beautifully cooked. Definitely the best food in blowing rock we will be back again next year.
