Cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff and amazing food.

The gingerbread Old Fashioned was excellent, so was the lavender! Blood orange margarita was very good!

About the entrees, the halibut was amazing… bone in rib eye and filet were also very tasty.

Highly recommend!

I came in for dinner while visiting blowing rock and enjoyed everything. The seafood sampler was amazing and the duck was divine. Our server, Monica was an absolute delight. She was able to answer all of our questions about the menu in detail and offer awesome recommendations and service. If you go you have to try the banana cream pie, which they make fresh in house everyday!

Second time at this restaurant and never disappointed. You will pay a little extra but when you walk away with the meal saying wow it's worth every penny.

Party of 4. Server Jackson was excellent, very attentive and on point. Food was excellent; however, my wife’s well done filet had to be sent back twice because it was not cooked anywhere close to well done although we said when she ordered it that she wanted it well well done with no pink. This is very disappointing with the price we paid and ruined the dinners of the rest of our party as we kept waiting for my wife’s steak to come back from the kitchen. Manager finally came over and said he was sorry but didn’t seem overly concerned. This is our 4th trip here and we will have to think long and hard about coming here again. For a nice restaurant not to be able to get the filet even close to right the first two tries is inexcusable.

There wasn't anything here but exquisitely delicious and absolutely outstanding food! As well for fine dining portions were not at all small we took home leftovers, as well for the quality food of food it's still reasonable in price. We got 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 delicious mocktails, 2 of the higher priced entres and two deserts with 20% tip for $200 and it felt like a 5 course meal. Took my mom here for her birthday, a well worth place for a special occasion dinner with your loved one worth every penny and I'm a service worker.
The wonderfully attentive waitress was super sweet and accommodating too.
It a special gem for sure!

The Best Cellar went out of their way to accommodate us. We were in Blowing Rock for a last-minute anniversary trip and called for a reservation. They were booked but went above and beyond to work us in. We had a fantastic time with a great table on the porch. They said they had music but we didn’t realize just how big an event it was. The entire lawn in front of the hotel was packed with people! Food was excellent and service was great. But the atmosphere was unbeatable. Thanks again!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Best Cellar this week and if I could post more than 5 stars I would. We were seated ourselves in the wine cellar which is absolutely beautiful and welcomed by our wonderful wait staff, Jackson. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the entire evening was so memorable. Thank you for making our celebration one to remember.

The reception host. James, so gracious.
Our server also named James was outstanding, knowledgeable, friendly, efficient.
But the best part was the general manager, Missy and her assistant Emma who made sure everything was perfect. And it was.perfect.
Seafood appetizer the beet salad, the halibut the Cinnamon butter squash,, the garlic string beans, he mashed potatoes were incredible.
We have been in in the Boone area blowing Rock Banner Elk area for 6 weeks and had many wonderful experience but none was better than this.
The food was amazing but the staff was equal.

Best Cellar is one of the best restaurants in Blowing Rock! Let me give you a tip: the Chicken is the best I've ever had. Not what you'd usually order but a local favorite. The filet Mignon specials are always divine. Asparagus = say yes. YeS! Even the salt and pepper in the shakers is awesome. Banana creme pie is the best anywhere. And all their fish dishes are tops. You need to make reservations because it is the best you'll get anywhere.

We have been going to Best Cellar for a few years, but last night was not the best, oysters Rockefeller were terrible, oysters were old, selections were not great, mostly seafood not much choice and high prices, parking has always been a problem, so, this will be our last visit to Best Cellar
