Our first time dining at Best Cellar. Decorated beautifully for Christmas time. We watched the snow fall as we ate dinner. Very cozy and charming. The seafood sampler was delicious, our favorite was the oyster Rockefeller. For our mains we got the bone in ribeye and crab cakes. My husband got the seasonal gingerbread old fashion cocktail. Our server was great and brought out cucumber and berries for our 2 year old.
Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating for our two year old. Our sever brought a bowl of cucumber and blueberries and strawberries 🍓 for our little.
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we made reservations at the Best Cellar for dinner. We both ordered the Parmesan panko crusted chicken and there was hardly any flavor which was disappointing. And either they were short staffed when we dined there or our waitress had better things to do because she only came by twice and we ended up having multiple waiters come by to take plates and refill our drinks. I was a little disappointed especially considering the price we paid.

We had an amazing dinner at The Cellar. We’ll be back at Thanksgiving and have reserved the Wine cellar. The halibut is the best we’ve ever had and it’s obvious talented chefs are working in this restaurant. Our burrata app was such a great start to a fantastic dinner. Service staff was impeccable. Definitely a special occasion restaurant but worth every single penny.

We had an excellent meal here - the food was great, the building is interesting and the ambiance wonderful. We got there a little early and had a good cocktail at the bar, then when we ate we had an excellent steak special and the duck. Highly recommend if in Blowing Rock. We were too full for the banana cream pie, but it looked to die for. My only regret is not ordering it anyway and just rolling out the door.

I have loved the Best Cellar for 3 years. A group of friends celebrated our big birthday in the actual cellar last year, which was wonderful, This summer we went every week. The food, service, and atmosphere is as good as it gets. We had Jackson last night as our server. He was terrific. Don’t miss this restaurant while you are in town.
