We drive 40 minutes every week or two to go there. The couple that run it are amazing people and the food is unbelievably awesome. My sister came in from Boston and has been talking about it almost everyday since she left.
The folks running this place were so polite and welcoming! Answered every single question and gave us food to try after our initial purchase of the STRAWBERRY LEMON DONUT OMG y'all get i! It's delicious and we tried the elderberry lemonades two different kinds both were fantastic! Chocolate cake homemade and delicious so soft and warm the experience was totally worth it and It made me wish we hadn't gotten food already and just needed desserts!

My boyfriend and i stopped in yesterday for some food. we had 2 burritos, a chicken tamale, and street corn. it was AMAZING. food was very reasonably priced and high quality ingredients. couple working was very kind and even gave us a sample of their new elderberry syrup immunity blend. so good!!!! we will definitely be coming back. thank you!

Tried this place for the first time last Saturday and after that experience I will NEVER go back! The owners were just so unprofessional. I got five plates and three of the five had food that was just hard, my grandmother couldn’t even chew hers. Called to hopefully have the issue resolved not even necessarily asked for a refund.. however the owner had said she would give one after arguing with me I was just trying to get a free meal. However in order to get this refund I had to give her my address for husband to pick up the food from my home! That was so unprofessional after going back and fourth for a while with her needing my address the argument the could only do cash returns the whole nine yards she finally agreed to just refund my card.. few days passed went back in cause I still hadn’t received it they gave me a receipt for “my” refund however after looking at it they completely refunded it back to the wrong person which is crazy after telling the owner the name on the card multiple times and giving her all the necessary information! Worst experience ever !

We stumbled across this little place. The food was really delicious and everything was obviously homemade. The service was a little bit slow but everyone was so nice, it was not a big deal to wait a little while to be served when everything is made from scratch.

Tried Burgaw Alimente for the first time tonight!!! 10/10 for sure. Service was amazing and food was spectacular! Definitely my new go to for baked goods and dinner!

As soon as I entered, I could tell this place was special. Dinner was delicious and the home baked carrot cake I had was perfect. The elderberry tea (I asked for it to be served hot) chased away a little bit of Winter blues from my lungs and warmed my spirit. And the family running the restaurant really helped me to feel at home. I am grateful I stopped here.

Stopped by on our way home from visiting the Battlefield and I’m glad we did! I grew up by the boarder of Mexico and so I’m pretty picky with my Mexican food! This place was way better than I expected. Compared to the other Mexican food places out here in NC that I have tried it was very good and I would 100% come back! (What we tried : Carne asada fries, Grande Carne asada Burrito, Quesedilla, tamale, chips & Salsa) The salsa (fire salsa?) - actually spicy and had flavor. The owner was amazing and super nice. He gave us a tamale to sample -definitely the best tamale I have had the 5 years I’ve lived in NC.

Absolutely the best handmade tamales I've had in the past 10 yrs, since relocating from Texas. Packed full of perfectly seasoned chicken, melt in your mouth masa, larger in size than others! You can order by the dozen too!!

Place was so cool! It is a Mexican restaurant with a bakery own by couple (I believe so), they were nice and they were paying attention to our table. Everything seems that is homemade which makes it a fantastic place. We ordered the tacos with shrimp, burrito with stake, Mexican corn and a carrot cake. Everything was delicious! The carrot cake was super fresh. We will come back soon for the homemade lemonade that they ran out .
