Never disappoints

A family friend recommended Andy's after I asked about ice cream. They advised that Andy's was custard - not ice cream - and it came in different flavors. Being from the west coast, I had never heard of Andy's. I was excited about giving it a try.
This place is pretty popular judging by the drive-thru line and the number of people at the walk up window. Although it was busy, the lines were moving pretty quickly, including the drive thru.
I tried the Key Lime Pie concrete. It was definitely delicious and I recommend it. This spot is pretty busy but they prepare the orders in a reasonable amount of time.
The area outside of the location was clean and there were seats for you to sit down. Inside also looked very clean, and they had a big window so that you could see the them make the yummy waffle cones.
Overall this is a great place to come for custard. You can't go wrong!

Fun to sit outside and eat, plus the jackhammer was fabulous ?
Ice cream was good but I got peach dream and the peaches had a bitter taste and after taste.
Listen, when I found this place in Burlington when I first moved there, I became a fiend. I completely ignored my healthy diet for some time and almost ALWAYS came here every night for either a concrete or a milkshake. The kids that work there and the manager always gave great service. I thought cookout milkshakes were the best, until I came here. No shade towards cookout but from my experiences with Andy’s, they don’t come close to this….at all. If you really enjoy ice cream (especially Oreo) you’ll love it. Don’t believe me? Go try it.

Swung by to try their "bootdaddy" concrete. There were about 7 people waiting for their food when I placed my order. At one point, we were all waiting for about 5 minutes when nothing came out. Several cars in the drive thru got their orders and left, however. After about 20 minutes, even the 4 people who ordered after me got their food. I asked the cashier if I needed to go through the drive thru to get prioritized in their kitchen. I think she said that they were just backed up. Couldn't really hear her because she talked so quietly (just what you are looking for in the person who announced what is ready to the people waiting).
There were 6 people preparing ice cream dishes, so I'm not sure why they were incapable of helping the people waiting. I guess they had our money already, so we were captive, while the people in the cars could have just left after that abuse.
The custard was ok. It was light on toppings. Nothing that exciting. Barely mixed.
Go find a Goodberry in Cary, instead.

We like going to Andy's because the "ice cream " (custard) is really good, and they already have a great menu to choose from, or you can create your own. Employees are always nice, and they get orders done in a timely manner. The only issue I have is the drive-thru. You will have to place your order at the window. They have addressed this issue, and when it's busy, someone will take your order on a tablet.
Kid-friendliness: Andy has big windows, and kids of all ages can watch the custard being made. And it ice cream ? ? ?
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking is near the Handicap ♿️ ramp.
