This place looks like a deserted island every time I come to Burlington. Especially for it to be a weekend. I can never tell if it's open because there are never any cars in the parking lot. When it first open a year ago food might have been good, but the hype has died down!

We've never had an excellent experience there but the last time, our Shrimp Cocktails were putrid. Slimy and smelled of ammonia, it was impossible not to notice so whoever prepped it just didn't care. My baked potato was old, cold and hard too. We decided we were done with that place then.

The staff was so nice and the food was GREAT. Not a fancy atmosphere, you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table.

I stop by there today and ordered the catfish platter to go. I ordered the Mac n cheese which was a up charge. When I got home that Mac n cheese was disgusting!! It wasn't worth a up charge it was worth going in the trash. This shouldn't even be on the menu as gross as it was.

Not even edible. I ordered flounder but I got breaded fish skin -- just a little bit of it. There wasn't enough fish included to even mention. I guess they had run out. The slaw was warm and tasted funny so I was afraid to eat it lest I get food poisoning. What a huge disappointment. i won't be going back.

Solid fast food fried seafood restaurant. Multiple locations in the state. Order at the counter. Specials everyday. Staff friendly and helpful. I tried the fried flounder and shrimp platter that comes with your choice of sides. I choose French fries and coleslaw. Comes with hush puppies. Coating on the fried shrimp tastes like it has a bit of Cajun boil in it. Gives the shrimp a good flavor. Flounder was cooked well and tasted good. Fried and coleslaw were tasty and I enjoyed the hush puppies. Got a drink and dessert with a total cost of around $17.00. Dessert was a small key lime pie. No made in house, but not bad. Very sweet but not overly tart. Not a bad place to check out.
We ordered our first meal from this restaurant today for lunch. Due to the amount of food we chose to order one Carolina Platter and split it. We used the online ordering. The food was on the lower side of average. Why? The flounder was overcooked, the scallops were all soggy and sitting in water so that the breading came off, the fries were undercooked, and the slaw smelled like rotten cabbage and milk. The best thing on the platter was the deviled crab, but they were no different than any frozen deviled crabs you can buy at the supermarket. My husband said the shrimp were good. I would blame the fact that it was takeout, but we take out this type of seafood from other places and it is usually decent. Maybe it was the time of day. I'd have given a 3 if the slaw had been edible. The overall taste was fine--except for the slaw. Also I know that prices are increasing but thought that $18.99 was a bit high for the quality of what we got.

We stopped here on our travels south. The restaurant was clean, however there is a seafood smell you look for in a fried fish restaurant. This place didn't have it. I'm from the Tidewater VA area, so I'm a fried fish connoisseur. We ordered po boys, fried catfish and flounder. Po-boys typically don't come with cole slaw or onions. The fish and fries were soggy. The hush puppies were rubbery. Overall the food wasn't seasoned properly. The best part of the meal was the kids hamburger. I wanted to love this place, but it was disappointing.
