We ordered curry chicken plate and jerk salmon plate. Overall really tasty, good portions! Just a little toooo salty and plantains were dry and kind of rubbery though.

I ordered online on a weekday for dinner to pick up. Don't trust the timeline provided by the online service. It'll probably take 20 minutes longer than what is estimated. Only get food here if you aren't in a rush. I think the food tasted good. However, I had strong bowel discomfort in the middle of the night afterwards. It's unfortunate because I'd theoretically be okay with trying this place again, I just think there was something in what I ordered (for the curious, it was jerk pork, with rice and peas, okra, and fried plantains. The pork was a bit fatty. Chicken might be better. I also had a beef patty.). My wife also had the discomfort after trying my food (she had a separate dish from here that seemed fine), but less so, which makes me think it was something in my specific dish. I have no idea if this was a fluke. The good reviews suggest people like the food and don't normally get sick afterwards. I eat all kinds of world cuisine (and value restaurants like this) so it wasn't a matter of not being able to handle the spices. It was a disappointing experience, between having to wait a long time for the food and then getting sick, because I really wanted to like this place. I can't really recommend you eat here, but feel free to try it on a slow night. You might have better luck than I did.

I truly believe their food is good but the snapper I got was fried so hard it was no fish on it. I know what happened tho. I went there on Sunday evening after googling Jamaican restaurants. They close at 7 am I got there about 610pm. After waiting in line for 20 I was asked what would I like. I said I would the snapper plate and the woman (she may own the restaurant) not the cashier says why didn’t you call that in. Me looking puzzled like huh. She then says you should have ordered sooner. Ma’am I been in line for 20 min. What u want me to? Her attitude was so rude. She says you’re gonna have to wait a while. We put the fish away. I look at her like okayyyyy. Mind you this is my first time here and I drove 25 min to get there. That’s how you treat your customers. 1st time 10th time doesn’t matter. You don’t talk to your customers like that. I wait for my food take it home and I can clearly see this was a rush job. I mean fish was fried to the bones. I said to myself okayyy I guess someone was really mad about that. Put a sign up and say no fish orders after 6 pm if need be. It wasn’t that big of a deal until the way she talk to me about my order. I will definitely not go back there again due to that. Food is probably banging but that woman customer service was horrible. I have a big family that have strong Jamaican roots who asked where can we go. It will not be that place.

Stopped by to try the lunch special- got the curry chicken with mixed veggies and plantains and a beef patty. Everything was delicious! Very affordable for lunch too. Chef came out from the back to make sure everything looked correct before I left, I will be back!

I was in Burlington for a few days and someone suggested this place. It did not disappoint. We ate there twice and it was delicious both times. The jerk chicken and goat curry were both fabulous. The fried plantains were the best I ever had. The desserts, there are many, were great. When I came in and saw those older Jamaican ladies cooking I knew it would be awesome. Very nice people and beautiful art.
