. Group waited a long time to be served .Poor service and food quality not up to previous standards .Have been to this restaurant numerous times for lunch and dinner. Very disappointed .
Called about reservations for an anniversary dinner. The hostess said they don’t take reservations and refused to give me an idea of the standard wait time. There turned out to be no wait on a Saturday night, for good reason. The food was pricy, but I hoped that meant quality. Unfortunately the seafood was chewy, over-breaded, and generally bad. Wife ordered a pasta dish and basically got Olive Garden level spaghetti for $30. It’s sad because the menu looked SO good and I was hoping to add this place to our rotation. Horrible waste of money. Should have gone to village grill or somewhere in Greensboro.
Even though the food was OK, I rated the experience as poor because it was so disappointing. My friend and I seek out only restaurants with a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for our monthly lunches, but we didn't get that here. First, the hostess led us toward the bar room. When we asked to be seated in the dining room instead, she said they had to even things out for the servers. That we understand, even though there were empty tables in the dining room. The empty bar area had big-screen TVs showing sports, which is definitely not our vibe. We were the only diners in that room for a very long time, and that felt weird, too. Our server was neither attentive nor friendly.
Grill 584 was an impromptu stop on the way home from a trip and turned out to be the best meal of our vacation. Make a reservation or get there when it opens for popular times. We enjoyed a seafood platter and Lebanese filet medallions. Vegetable choices were plentiful, and the menu was wide and varied. Drinks were excellent- I tried the Carolina Tea, which is alcoholic. Our waitress was friendly, accessible and helpful. There are multiple dining areas with luxurious furnishings. It is oddly placed next to a motel, but don’t let that deter you. If you are looking for a delicious, relaxing meal, this is a great choice!
Please don’t EVER Take the NEW ENGLAND clam chowder off the menu on Friday night and replace it with that abomination of a soup called Manhattan Clam chowder. If you’re going to take the New England away on Fridays make it a menu item so we can choose. So disappointing
consistency is key. I found a hair in my food tonight. Busy phone, no calls going through to speak to a manager.
Called to place an order for the office, was told we would need to call back they don't open for 2 minutes, once order was placed was informed there would be a 50 dollar tip and we picked the food up. Total bill for 9 was 298.00. My grilled chicken was so hard I broke my plastic knife trying to cut my sandwich in half. Of the 9 lunches ordered only 2 individuals liked the food and one of those had to throw away the side item. Do not waste your time or money on the 584, there are far to many good restaurants in Burlington to eat here.

This place is not meant for big parties. We made a reservation, we had a party of 17. They gave us 1 server so of course she couldn't keep our drinks full and I don't think she cared either since she gets tipped no matter what. It took over an hour to get our food when we finally got to order about 30 minutes or so after sitting down. The food was not good it was bland and it made my family and I feel sick. I do not recommend and I won't be back.

Very nice restaurant for a casual night out. The items are a bit on the pricey side but overall a very nice place to eat and have a beer or a cocktail

Do not try to call in an order here, if you got the young lady I got on the phone, you need all the luck in the world. After she finally realized I wanted to order to go, I ordered a Greek salad, 8.95, add Jumbo shrimp, 6.50... in what world does that equal 23.83. I sent someone to pick it up, only to find no salad dressing in the bag?????? I told her repeatedly the creamy balsamic vinaigrette. NEVER AGAIN

We visited family near Burlington NC and we chose to have lunch at Grill 584. We were seated immediately during peak lunch hour. Our waitperson was prompt with water and menus. The interior is elegant and after using the men's room I noticed how large Grill 584 was to accomodate large groups. I stopped to read a placque on the wall that described how the restaurant got its name. 584 was the local telephone exchange and came to mean, not verbatim, if something was good, it was referred to as 584. There was plenty of salad, soup , burgers, sandwiches and desserts to choose from. There are also choices for younger palates. There was a note on the menu that states the restaurant will prepare any dish to meet dietary restrictions. I ordered one of my favorite lunch items, a large Chicken Caesar for $7.95. The salad arrived and left a lot to be desired. Cold iceberg lettuce, no parmesan and two or three small croutons. The dressing, claimed to be home made, lacked in quantity and quality. The chicken was tasty and warm from the grill. I explained to my wait person that I found the salad to be unimaginative and not a true Caesar. My wife's Sashimi Tuna Salad was also less than average in quality. The restaurant was packed which told me Grill 584 must do some things right. However, on this day, their food did not hit the high notes for us.
Parking: Lot adjacent to restaurant. There is plenty of parking available.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy , available parking. Flat, and restaurant easily accessed with a wheelchair.

Love the food, you have issues with your wait staff one in particular Meghan T. as she changes the menu, tells you that you can’t order certain items, tells 2 children with out party that both appropriately ordered kids meals that they can only have one ice cream to share. She was told no thank you but then brings one with two spoons for two kids that are not relatives. She charges for salads full price instead of add on prices with steaks and fish plates. I orderd a small Greek salad because that’s all I wanted and she repeats it to me and then brings me a full Greek salad and charges me for a full. I didn’t say anything on the salad but she knew exactly what she was doing. . Love this place and supporting local and the food but if this is how it’s gonna be not going to be coming here. All about giving great tip but when the waitress with the brown hair and pony tail making up her own rules just to get a bigger tip from us a party of 8. You would have gotten a much bigger tip had you not changed the menu to suit your needs. I normally would not write a review however this is the second time we have had this waitress and it happened both times. We have never had any issues with any other wait staff.
Excellent food at great prices!
