Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

The workers are courteous and acknowledgable to customers. But most of all I have sent my friends there to see if the cooks are making good food, and the feedback I received was a big YES! One customer calls Akeem "nephew". It makes a mom proud to know her son is giving his best at what he does.

I went there the other Day. Had Grill Cheese and Tots I didn't have a Problem But I noticed that the three ladies needed to sweep the floors and Straight up the Restaurant. They received a 95.5 in April of this Sanitation Grade ugh. Grill Cheese was a litlle Dry some but overall the Food was ok. You'l can do Better Also the lady that helped me ask ed me would like my Change back it was only 7cent but wooshe Clean up Clean up!! Please.

Cheesesteak was so salty it was inedible. Disgustingly salty. Wouldn't take off of bill. Cheese fries good but cost 9 dollars. Got a senior discount of 1.10 Waited 15 minutes for check, she took orders and delivered food while waiting. Would not go back

Decided to go here for a quick dinner. The food is usually good. We especially like the cheese steaks. They did leave the peppers off of one ours, not sure why, and the waitress didn't come around for us to inform and make it right. Also, we ran out of drinks well before she finally returned. The place wasn't busy and when we looked for her, she was counting her tips at the counter. Also, the kids burger size was ridiculously small. I'm pretty sure it was smaller than Wendy's kids burger. The waitress dropped off the check and never returned to take payment, Im glad there was a QR code on the check so we could pay and leave. The service here could be much better.

Husband order 2 meals to go. His burger was excellent, unfortunately mine was not. Burger was dark brown and black round edges, extremely dry where it was grilled to death. Fries were hard and dry. Never had a meal ever to this dissatisfaction before. Going to be quite a while before I will recommend. What a waste of money.

Food was good the waitress never checked on us

The food was horrible. I threw almost all of it away, and about threw what little I did eat up. It was inedible.

My coworker went to Highway 55 for dinner and got a hamburger steak w/fries and slaw and the picture below shows it all. It was crumpled up hamburger with no.gravy and the toast was not toasted. No place for the photo.

This was our second time here. Previous visit was better. Ordered hot dog with chili and slaw. Barely any chili on hot dog. Wanted to have additional chili but waitress never checked on us after bringing food once. We did not receive refills and ended going up to counter to get check. Not a big deal, but Sunday special was 1.00 off. We had to go to counter to receive as was not deducted from bill. Waitress had plenty of chat time with staff but never attended to customers. No way we were leaving recommended 30 percent tip.

How does this place exist.

This retro style 50's reaustrant serves up good ole fashion food with a smiling server. She checked up on me to see if I was ok, and if she was busy someone else checked up on me. I usually get the same thing and is what I expected it to be. That is what I go there for. Thank you Hwy 55.

This location is usually good. However my family and I went here last week. Service was horrible. The blonde girl was too busy flirting with the cooks to pay attention to customers coming in. Our server got our order wrong. I ordered a burger with cheese, grilled onions, ketchup, mustard, pickles and bacon. It came out with raw onions, no bacon. My son doesn’t like cheese so I ordered him a hamburger and specified no cheese. It came out with cheese on it. The food took so long to come we didn’t even bother telling them to fix it.
We’re done with Hwy 55 for a while.

Walked to the door at 7:54... all chairs were on tables. They were cleaning to close...at 9! An hour and 56 minutes away. When we opened the door as we turned to leave the wait staff laughed and were happy to see us go.
