Was visiting and my friend said let's do Mexican. I'm always down for Mexican so we went to La Cocina. I asked her what she normally gets and she said she has never had a bad meal here. I decided to try the ACP ultimate, which had steak, chicken and shrimp with cheese. At her suggestion I got the cheese on the side because she said it's too much. I should've got it on the plate, not sure if they skimped because it was on the side but it wasn't enough. It was however plenty of food(meat) I could've done with less meat and more rice; especially since the steak was over cooked and dry. The shrimp was cooked nicely and the chicken was mixed with some dry and some fresh. My fried deciders on the birria tacos and said she takes back about everything being good. I have never seen birria tacos look so pale and no consommé. She ended up eating the meat out of the flour tortillas. It's a nice place, I would give them one more try if I'm in the area. Our waiter Kelvin was so nice and attentive.

Great food! And the environment is really fun. Our server was kinda busy at first, but the service picked up after a while. Everyone got margaritas and they were really strong! I love that they have virgin drinks for children and those who don't drink. They were on top of keeping chips on the table. I think it's so funny how they bring out a sombrero for birthdays, but I do worry about if they clean them after each wear.

Great lunch with husband. We were seated in the bar, which was nice and quiet that time of day. The bar has a sports bar vibe and we very much enjoyed our meal. It is better than several other Mexican or TexMex restaurants near us. Prices are very reasonable. You will not leave hungry...at all.
My new favorite Mexican restaurant!! The menu items are different and refreshing. I found many heart-healthy options, and the food was delicious. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable.

Me and my family came here for dinner when one of us noticed the server put our food tray on the floor. While 2 other associates were standing in the corner pointing at the food on the floor and hysterically laughing about it. Of course we asked to speak to a manager who was not willing to listen and just wanted to use the excuse of “we will replace it” to excuse the fact we were almost served food that sat on the dirty floor until we spoke up. An unbelievable experience here. Absolutely sickening.
