I go here for their Wednesday $5 sushi special. So good! I have not shopped throughout the actual store, so I cannot comment on too much, as of yet, but it is very clean and organized. I have tried their red velvet cake. Very dry, wouldn't buy again. Their carrot cake is entirely too sweet, but we are in the South so no surprise there. I'm picky about my sweets.

Not sure why this Publix is rated so low. I'm from Miami and this location towers over anything I've seen back at home. Reminds me a lot of Tallahassee's GreenWise location. 5/5 would recommend

I am from Florida, so I was thrilled when they opened this location. They are the only ones to carry some of my favorite brands. Everything is so clean and organized. They have the largest selection out of anyone in the area. They are on the pricier side, but they often have spectacular deals that you cannot miss. Their chantilly cake is to die for. You will thank me, trust me.I am so thankful they opened this location because it has become my new favorite grocery store. I never have to worry about them not having what I want. And they will special order certain brands if they do not carry them. Their prepared foods are excellent, with the exception of the spaghetti... That was pretty bad. But everything else was great. Very friendly staff and did I mention how clean it is?

I would like to say that the staff at the pharmacy is super helpful, they helped me with my meds better than any other pharmacy, they listen and answer all my questions, thank you for a great pharmacy staff.

Shout out to Publix Publix Super Market at Church Street Commons. I was originally told they wouldn’t do the cake I requested, because it wasn’t up to their standards- and “they would never let a cake leave their store looking like that” I settled and just request a pink iced cake. And I would do the decor myself…. I needed to change my pick up time and when I went into the store I spoke to one of the bakers (sorry didn’t get her name) but she said she could do it, and even misspell “happy birthday” per my daughters request, she wanted her cake to look like the one that Haggard gave to Harry in the movie… I know nothing about Harry Potter but according to my daughter, they nailed it! Not to mention it was DELICIOUS. so thank you!!!

This place is garbage nothing like the Publix in Florida. The seafood department is trash, you ask to order seafood and it never gets order then you follow up and they say they order it and you never get called you call back and they never place the order. Non of the manger will follow up they won't let you speak with the store manager.. the whole place is a joke. Crap customer service the people working the deli are rude and hate their job. The wings are flavorless. Nothing like the Florida Publix...

I grocery shop here every single week. Compared to other grocery stores in the area (except Harris Tedder) this is the only grocery store that has what I need, the produce is not rotted, or has bugs/insects on the produce, every single staff member that passes me speaks to me or even goes to the ends of having a full conversation with me. I cant say much about the deli or the meat department because I buy all of my meat from a meat market.

Love this grocery store! They have some things you just can't find in a normal grocery store.

Most dysfunctional and disorganized deli department. Takes way too long to complete an order and often times they make mistakes. In need of some serious training measures. Otherwise the store is your typical Publix.

My last experience with Publix was in Florida between 2006 & 2009. I was a fan. I still have my complimentary reusable grocery bad. Thanks, Publix!I was looking forward to Publix opening in Burlington, NC. LOCATION: - Surely there were other locations for this store where it wouldn't be directly across the street from another large grocery store? WTF? - It's not easy getting in and out of that parking lot, there's a LOT of traffic. The best way out is to go to the light at the intersection of Huffman Mill Rd. or International Rd. - The parking lot is very steep and sloped which is going to lead to a lot of vehicles damaged by carts left in the parking lot by inconsiderate shoppers of which there are far too many.PRODUCE & MEAT:Massive disappointment! When I walked into Publix and saw the teeny tiny produce section I just stood there stunned. A produce employee greeted me. I asked "Is this the entire produce section? Is there more around the corner??" I was told no. He said "I know." The Produce section is way too small, the selection sucks, and there is not enough non-packaged produce. I want to pick my own as do most people who enjoy produce. The meat/protein selection was just as disappointing as the produce selection. I was told Publix research told them this is what the locals wanted - not a lot of fresh and a ton of packaged, prepared garbage. I guess that's why you can't throw a rock without hitting a fast food restaurant! I don't shop for food from the middle of the store. I'm an outer-aisle shopper: fresh produce & protein. I won't be returning. I will continue to shop across the street at Harris Teeter whose produce & protein selection blows this Publix away. I'm very disappointed. This isn't the Publix experience I remember. Throwing my bag away too...

Every time that I have been there, I have been greeted cheerily. Everyone is helpful and the selections are great. The bakery and deli are especially wonderful.

The very first Publix I ever went to was in FL. I thought it was an interesting take on a grocery store & wasn't very impressed. Then, the Publix where I used to live in Raleigh opened. WOW. Why drive all the way out to Wegmans when I have such a beautiful grocery store available? Now I've moved to Burlington and the Publix just opened. It took a few days before I was able to shop here in person due to it being the shiny new penny. When you walk in, the set up is like the Publix in FL. The fruit & veg are to the right. Now, I'm not as big a fan of fruit as I am of fresh veg and I have to say, I'm left a little cold with the selection at this Publix. There are a lot of apples & oranges, potatoes and onions all loose as in any other grocery, however, if you want fresh veg, you have to wade thru shelves of bags. Yes, bags of veg. Wh Wha What? Not only were they bagged vegetables but they look like they had been sitting in the cooler for weeks. I had needed mushrooms but there is no way I was going to invest my money in the selection they had as they looked like they were already starting to rot. I'm not interested in bagged peppers or bagged celery. I want fresh. The meats are very close to the fruit & vegetable section. The one thing that stood out to me was that they had a separate organic section which was nice. The selection wasn't as varied as I was used to at the Raleigh Publix but it was adequate. Now lets talk dairy; After the first week of opening when they had the shelves fully stocked, it seems like they are unable to keep anything in stock. It's been over a week now where I can't get the milk that I like or the creamer. They also don't have a selection of the Sargento snacks that I usually shop for which was a shame. And on to the employees. The nicest people I talked to while shopping were the department managers, not the usual employees. I don't know what it is about grocery employees in Burlington but sheesh, you'd think they were forced into working for the grocery chains and it was the last place they wanted to be. I used to work in customer service and yes, there were days where I dreamed of 5 fingers of bourbon, but it wasn't always like that. If you take a job where customer service is a necessity then learn how to smile. You use less musculature in smiling than walking around with a perpetual frown thinking you're too cool for this job.I have since started using the Instacart service to pick up my groceries due to the new strain of Covid. I am trying to have as little contact as usual as I don't want to get sick. I have to say, the Instacart employees are super friendly and helpful in comparison to the 'regular' employees at Publix. Thankfully I can order groceries online & then pick them up....as long as they have what I want in stock.

This is one of the nicest Publix I've ever set my foot in and eyes on. Everything is nicely stocked, neat with plenty of staff ready to assist. This was my first time visiting this store as they just opened the week prior. Elegant design overall but they paid attention to detail at this store. I always enjoy a shopping trip to Publix because I know shopping will be a pleasure. Now I just need to get some of those employees at my restaurant! Bakery had fresh warm bread available to purchase such a delight. Produce was fresh bright and plenty of options in stock. Shelves were lined and product pulled to the edge. Again very nice store one of the best I've ever been in and that's from here to Florida! Can't wait to stop back in again and have some of that hot deli food and dine in their upstairs dining area which is above the whole store. Slapping my seal of approval on this one!
