One of the best chow halls on base, definitely worth the trip and they even got Mongolian made fresh.

A few months ago I bit down on a Salisbury steak and chipped my filling because there was a peice of bone in it. Filling fell out had to go to dental.

Found this only a few minutes after they opened for breakfast. Absolutely disgusting that one of the workers probably just killed it then left it on the ground.

I had this place once and it gave me food poisoning. The moldy picture is also still on the wall from being posted 8 months ago

This place is awful. The food is nasty, unhealthy, and overall not pleasant. I've been to this chow hall many times, and there have been bugs (roaches and ants), both dead and alive on the floors.

I’m Currently touring the Base Mess Halls where I’ll sit in for a mealSo I recently had the pleasure of dining at Double Decker MH227 , and overall, it was a positive experience. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was kept clean. However, I did notice one aspect that could be improved upon. While the food was prepared to perfection, I couldn't help but notice that the cook on the grill had his pants hanging below his buttocks. This aspect of his appearance was a bit unprofessional and could be off-putting to some customers. It would be great if the management could address this issue and ensure that all staff members adhere to a professional dress code.Despite this minor concern, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Double Decker. The food was flavorful and satisfying, and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. The Mess Hall itself was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining for any Marine Sailor aboard the base.In conclusion, Double Decker is a great Mess Hall to dine at. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the cleanliness of the restaurant is commendable. I would highly recommend giving it a try, keeping in mind the small improvement that could be made regarding the staff's dress code.Staff Sergeant Gabriel Smith Concurs

Great place! You can choose between healthy options, pizza line, Mongolian, grilled food and a section that offers something different everyday. A lot of variety to choose from and the food tastes very good.
