Budgie's Bakeshop - Bakery and Coffee Shop

I recently moved back to Candler and discovered Budgie’s —— I won’t be able to stay out of that place! It’s so good! I’ve tried a variety of their tasty treats and I was impressed that every single item I picked was DELICIOUS. The food is made with care and heart, which shows through in how they treat their customers with friendly I felt right at home talking about the buffet of treats and shopping their local artist section. I’ve heard many friends and neighbors speak highly of the bakery. Especially the extent to which they helped take care of the community during Helene and continue to in so many different ways. I’m looking forward to Sunday Doughnut Day!!!

It’s lemony and crunchy-chewy delicious! It’s not super sweet, but so very flavorful.

The apple fritter is just as good with big chunks of apple. Perfectly fried. Extraordinary!

And I just had to try their coffee latte with house made lavender syrup! And it, too is SO GOOD!!

I’ve purchased their sourdough bread many times. I really love it!

Sweets and iced latte flavors are made with passion. Genuine sweets and people! Hard workers. My daughter’s birthday cake and cupcakes were exactly what we envisioned and the taste, texture and quality were all perfect and addicting. Sugar lovers BEWARE ITS TOO DELISH. I’ve had a cupcake and 2 slices of chocolate cake and want another 🤤 everyone also said the cake and cupcakes were delicious.

Great spot to stop in after or before a hike! Get a baked good, a donut, a coffee or hot chocolate. Lovely service and delicious food. The chai snickerdoodle is awesome and they have a macaroon without flour in it if you need a gluten free pick me up.

The owner took care of us in a wonderful manner, despite us arriving at closing . Despite its unpretentious appearance, the baked goods were excellent. Thank you, what a nice edition to our camping trip.

Picked up some pastries on our way up to Pisgah so we could have a nice breakfast. the blueberry coffee cake and the muffins we bought were delicious, a perfect pairing for coffee on a cool mountain morning :)
The owner was really nice even tho we arrived right as they were closing!

Stopped by right at closing because a family member knew the owner - got some wonderful pastries to take back with us and had a great conversation … they are doing great things for their community and they make great baked goods. Definitely recommend.
