Delicious, fresh baked goods and wonderful, friendly service. One of our favorite places stop in for a bakery treat. We especially love their scones and fresh baked bread.
Staff is friendly, items sold are amazing. Appealing to the eyes then tastebuds are totally satisfied!
Ein bisschen teur. But its smells like a nice bakery and has a nice vibe to it.
A very pleasant bakery, spacious and inviting, with numerous goodies such as turnovers, strudels, cakes, and breads. I tried the apfel kuchen and a savory turnover and both were nice. The prices are a little on the higher side (almost $10 for a pistachio shortbread cookie).
★★★★★ Plus – An Ode to True Craftsmanship
There are places that redefine what quality truly means. This is one of them.
How do you make a perfect place even better? You come here. You experience real, authentic craftsmanship. You taste what quality means when it is not claimed, but lived — consistently and uncompromisingly.
Annelore and Norbert have created a place where craftsmanship, precision, warmth, and reliability come together at the highest level. Quality here is not explained — it is felt in every detail, seen in every product, and tasted in every bite.
For seven years now, I have been coming here regularly whenever business brings me to town. And every single visit feels like coming home. The products are always fresh, crafted to perfection, full of flavor, and a genuine pleasure. No two visits are the same — yet the promise of excellence is always fulfilled without exception.
My sincere thanks go to Annelore and Norbert, as well as to the entire team, for their daily dedication. For the passion, the attention to detail, the genuine care for people, and for making every guest feel truly welcome — not just served. You don’t leave this place simply satisfied. You leave with a smile and a sense of appreciation.
A place with soul. A place with character. A place you always want to return to.
Thank you — and here’s to many more moments of true enjoyment.
The baker who also worked cashier was very nice and very helpful helping out.
I could tell that she was passionate about baking and the pastries were delicious
I love their fruit pies, quiches and savory pies. I'm also a fan of their Bee Sting cake. It is pricey but you can tell they use top quality ingredients to make their items.
Best apple turnover without sugar coating on top! Warm and inviting space. Free lot but it's small. I will return when in the area!
My sister and I love to stop here whenever we come to visit our mother at Stoneridge retirement center. We always stop for cookies and some delicious German beers to enjoy in the evenings.
Just discovered this place on Friday. The buttery smell is incredible inside and it more then lives up to expectation. Everything is delicious but the bacon cheddar scones are absolutely RIDICULOUS. Absolutely the best I have ever eaten. Can't wait to go back and try more...

First time visiting their store. I remember when they started at the Western Wake FM. They certainly have done well for themselves.
The staff is so incredibly nice, greeting everyone who comes thru the door. It actually was heartfelt, not just nothing the words.
We got a small box of Christmas cookies and several items from the case. All I l've tried so far is a poppyseed cookie with a dab of some sort of jam on it, maybe apricot, and it was delicious.
Yes, their prices are a little steep, but the quality is evident and reflected in the flavor. Nothing tastes artificial, just quality ingredients.
Came here for the German loaf bread and treats. Glad that we have this great choice of German healthy bread here in NC. 🫶
It’s a trip, but we love traveling when it leads to great discoveries. 🤩
Besides the bread, they have a great selection of sweet treats to satisfy your cravings, and everything we tried was delicious. 🤤
We will be definitely back for sure! 👍
I don’t know why I keep trying this place, nor do I understand why people keep recommending it. Picked up a German Chocolate cake for my wife’s birthday. $84 for a 9” cake and it was so dense and dry that we couldn’t even finish one piece. The “icing” was thick hard chocolate that you could barely bite through. The filling was dry and chalky and tasted like pure sugar, and the sponge was almost as dense and dry as a biscotti. What a waste of money and a waste of good real estate in downtown Cary. That’s my last time throwing money away there.
We ordered our 50th Anniversary cake there : Schwarzwalder Kirsch Torte . It was as delicious as we remembered . We drive 2.5 hours to get there a twice a year treat . Everything we have tried reminds us of our tour of duty in Germany long ago . Very quaint cafe , super friendly service staff too . If you like the german style of baking ; nothing overly, sickly sweet ,you have to try this bakery.
Quaint bakery with mellow flavours. Will be returning regularly. Tad bit expensive.
