The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because they only have tapioca boba and there is no variety of boba which is what is expected from the place with the name, the Strawberry Puff was delicious 10/10 as was the Strawberry and lemon mochi donut, we ordered 3 drinks and they were all very good?

This used to be my all time favorite boba shop, but they’ve changed their recipes and ingredients to where the product just isn’t the same. Except the boba - consistently on point every single time. The cream puffs used to be phenomenal and huge, now they look the same size but the bottoms cave upwards and the center isn’t filled nearly as much, the filling is more like a thick whipped cream vs a custard. 7/10 times the sugared top is burnt.Mochi donut frosting has changed - the matcha used to be a nice, rich opaque frosting and now it has very little flavor, thinned out and translucent. The lemon lavender icing has also changed for the worse. The worst change though is their tea leaves when they switched to their own branded offering. I loved the rose black tea because the floral notes were strong without being overpowering but it’s really subtle now. Also, it upsets my GI every single time, I’ve tried traditional milk tea and jasmine milk tea and don’t have the same affect, it’s only with the rose, which was the only drink I’d get. I used to come 1-2x a week and sadly, will not be frequenting as often.

This is by far the best Boba around. I drive an hour just to come here, and I am NEVER disappointed. I have tried so many Boba shops in the Raleigh area and none compare to Boba Baba. The flavor is great and boba is prepared perfectly. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

OH MY GOSH. This place is the BEST boba in the area. I don’t say this lightly, but it truly is. You can tell they use PREMIUM QUALITY ingredients for their drinks. I love how much they are willing to explain their drinks as well. For example, I really wanted to try the Ube Latte, but I was nervous bc Ube has always been a hit or miss for me. They walked me through the ingredients they use + told me that if I don’t like the drink, they can remake it for me (literally so kind!!!). Luckily, I loved the drink and enjoyed it so much. It was the perfect sweet creamy texture, yet so light and delicate. Plus, we can’t forget about the mochi donuts!!!! The passion fruit donut and the lemon lavender are my FAVORITES (please try!!!!!!) The candied lemon on the lemon lavender is the perfect touch bc it’s adds a sweet tart to the donut. Overall 10/10. If you’re in the area, and need a dessert GO TO BOBA BABA. You won’t regret it!

I don't leave reviews very often, but I wanted to share my experience especially after reading some reviews on yelp as well. My sister and I came here for the first time to try as we are always looking for new places to check out. The place was busy and the vibe is very cute. The menu isn't that big and every place is different so when I got up to the girl behind the register I asked some questions to help me choose. I decided on the Vietnamese coffee with lychee boba. I didn't enjoy the lychee. I regretted adding that. I also got a white chocolate raspberry donut. The donut was delicious, but the coffee was too sweet and very strong. I've never had it before so I wasn't sure on the taste so that is why I inquired with the associate earlier. I waited for the line to clear before returning to the counter just to ask for some milk for the coffee. There was someone new working the register. They took my cup and just explained to me what was in the beverage and how it was prepared. I did not ask for clarification on the beverage, but simply for some milk so I can even out how strong it was and just to get it to a drinkable stand point for myself. I asked again if I could just get a little milk because I wouldn't be able to drink it to which is when the associate turned to another associate asking if I could do that. I was just confused because you would think I was asking for the most ridiculous thing ever. The second associate put two pumps of milk in a separate cup and placed it next to where the first associate left my drink. The second associate then picked up my drink to hand it back to me and said "we don't take back drinks." I took my drink and said "okay, I was not asking you to remake my drink. I just wanted to add some milk." I took my order and walked back to my sister. I was just so taken back by the way they were treating me as an already paid customer. Even if I was asking for them to remake it, idk what kind of business wouldn't do that for their customer to satisfy them and keep them coming back. My sister also ordered a 24 oz and the cashier gave her a 16 oz. She even had to correct the cashier after ringing her up for the wrong drink even with repeating it to her 3x. If she didn't say anything she would have gotten the wrong drink. All in all the place is cute and the donuts are good. My drink was not and the staff needs some work. I've read multiple reviews talking about staff and they just did not make me feel welcomed. I felt more like an alien especially with the place being as crowded as it was. I will not be back.

This place has gone downhill over the years. More expensive than comparable places with hit-or-miss quality.
