Tried to come to the winery at 6:15pm on a Saturday. No one was there. Do not follow the hours on the website as they clearly haven't updated it

Arrived at 3:45PM on 4/6/24. It was closed. I saw on the website that it would close at 5. There was no note on the door. :-(

My friend and I had an amazing galentines tasting with Nancy! She is so helpful and knowledgeable about the winery and made our experience so fun! Thank you Nancy for a fabulous start to the evening!

I first experienced Chatham Hill Winery at the State Farmer’s market. The customer service was amazing. Tried free samples, they had deals if you bought multiple bottles and I bought quite a few because the Noble was sooooo good. I bring friends and family with me every-time now. Just great, friendly experiences. When I visit them, I kept being encouraged to go to the Winery location in Cary for a tour anytime. Stopped by there today and it was dead with some less than excited staff working. This location is more of a restaurant/bar. They stayed behind the bar while I looked at a small selection of wine by the front door. Prices are more expensive per bottle and no deals in the “winery”. Gift cards are also only electronically emailed. I won’t be visiting the “winery” again but I recommend to stop by the Farmers Market. Farmer’s Market location=5 stars. “Winery”=1 star.

Wonderful experience, staff was well mannered, personally I am more a fan of sweeter tasting wines and they delivered spectacularly. The bar was well maintained and we never felt like we were waiting long before our waiter came to help us, love the ambiance and atmosphere, will gladly visit again.

Had a fantastic evening recently at this very charming venue! We started the evening with a bottle of Rubio and enjoyed it so much that we got three more bottles before the evening was over. A tasty red with a delightfully complex finish. The staff was attentive and fun. The atmosphere and dance floor were perfect for a night of live music, and the entire group (as well as many other tables) spent most of the evening on our feet. I look forward to our next visit and will definitely have them host another event.

incredibly rude service! Tonight I purchased a white wine and unfortunately I didn't like it- no big deal. I tasted my friends wine and liked that better; she told me it was a merlot, so I decided to return to the bar and purchase the red wine. I approached the bar with my full glass of wine and nicely explained to the lady that had just poured my glass that I didn't love the white, but decided I would like to purchase a glass of the red. The older lady at the register, maybe the owner?, asked me what I wanted and I said a glass of the Merlot. she nastily replied they didn't have a Merlot and I said ok, what is the name of the red wine. Instead of just telling me the 2 red wines they have- She reached for a menu and slammed it in front of me! Um, where did this reaction come from? oh, excuse me- it was a Cabernet!- not a Merlot. Regardless, I still remained nice and purchased a glass of the Cab and as the lady who poured my original glass gave me my red glass I said thank you and handed her the white glass in exchange for them to dispose of as I wasn't going to drink it. Again, the older lady at the register who I just paid and tipped, once again rudely interjected and pushed the glass back to me and abruptly demand that I take the glass of wine back and said, "it's yours you have to take it!" So I walked away, confused , and sat it on the corner of a table in front of the bar where I guess it was eventually disposed of. Normally i would have li would have had more wine, nope, not with that nasty service! I smiled and was polite the entire time and I never asked for anything for free/exchange - I made a bad choice and paid $10.00 plus $5.00 tip for the white wine I ended up not liking plus $10.00 and a $3.00 tip for the red....and I got nasty rude service??!!! Why? - no thank you. Mind you- the First Lady I interacted with was nice, it was the older lady at the register who I have the issue with and I May be wrong, but she conveyed having some authority and I suspect she may be a manager or owner. Not only was she rude to me, but she conveyed being condescending to the First Lady who served me. I have been to this venue plenty of times and usually purchase their wines for Christmas gifts-never again. I have no problem spending my money- and the very least you can do is be nice. Had I been rude or disrespectful I could understand, but I'm actually irritated at myself for being nice to her and not assertively confronting her attitude. I honestly was just confused and thought if I was nice it would redirect her attitude. Fortunately, the band was great as always. Unfortunately, this is one of the only places they play in the area, so I guess I'll have to wait to see them when they play at the beach again bc I will never be returning to this establishment.

Great atmosphere. We went for a wine tasting for my birthday. We enjoyed talking to Nancy and thanks for showing us the wine room. We had a great time

Nice space with easy parking! Wine tasting for $25 with a choice of sweet or dry wines. I did the dry. The wines were pretty good! Person that was working was very helpful. I felt the prices were a little high though for the tasting and bottles.

Very disappointed...more like a wine room than a winery. When I think of a winery, I picture vineyards and greenery and a nice outdoor setting. This is more reminiscent of a restaurant with a bar. Waiter came to table once, awkwardly stood there without saying a word until we asked a question regarding a wine. He brought our order and then we never saw him again until we stopped at bar to pay tab. Was very much looking forward to a better experience.

Lots of seating, friendly staff, just gotta bring it down a little due to the price. The value isn’t quite there IMO

We were a group of 9 for the wine tasting. It was wonderful. Wally, the owner, was amazing. Wines are delish & they provided lots of snacks. Thanks Wally!!

Great little place to visit. My wife and I stopped by for a glass of wine there the other day when we were in the area. The wine was tasty, and the owner Marty was really friendly. She even gave us a taste of the Muscadine wine, which was actually quite good. Also Anthony who was pouring wine for everyone was super friendly also.

Beyond disappointing! The nondescript bar tender never greeted us when we walked in or even lower herself to say hello once we sat down. Why would you ever have someone so inept on the front lines of any company? Not only was the service one of our worst experiences but the wine couldn’t even save our evening. Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc? At least explain that before you leave the room to pour a glass. The whole trip was a waste of our time! Not until we were paying the check and leaving did the wine server become interested in us with a sad display of false attention. Tip time, time for fake flirting. Thanks but no thanks.
