My wife and I were excited for a date night at Chef Palate, but service was extremely slow. Drinks took over 15 minutes, and the kitchen was delayed. We left after paying for our drinks, disappointed. Only received an apology when we asked for the check. Would not recommend.
Should not accept a birthday party of 20+ people on a Saturday night. The tables were full and not enough wait staff and obviously kitchen staff to get orders out. Table of 6 next to us waited over an hour for their food....ours came out after 30 minutes. The noise was uncomfortable. Ashley did a great job in serving us but she was harried and concerned about the wait time to get food to her tables. Food was presented beautifully and it was delicious, but we won't return on a weekend.
Food was delicious as always. Service was a little off but we should have expected that on. Saturday night. We will be back.
First time visiting Chef's Palette. The food is really good! We had apps, entrees, cocktails, and dessert, and enjoyed everything. Unfortunately, they had a system glitch on the day of our reservation and were significantly overbooked. That added to the total service time as we didn't get our dinner until 90 minutes after we sat down. Servers were very honest about the issue though and worked hard to deliver a good experience for everyone who was affected. I'm sure we'll be back with the hopes of giving them 5 stars for a flawless dinner experience.
Was visiting our son and daughter in-law in the RDU area. The Chefs Palate exceeded our expectations. Was celebrating our daughter in-laws birthday, everyone was impressed with the quality of service. Dinner was prepared & presented exceptionally well. Will defiantly return on our next visit.
Great dinning experience! Staff was polite and friendly and the food was fantastic. We tried Chef's Palette for an anniversary night but will absolutely be coming back and bringing friends.
It's pricey for our area but yummy. We ate in the dining room, which was not crowded, but the bar area was hopping! Next time we will eat in the bar, which has a different menu and a more casual ambiance.
Chef's Palette continues to be a reliable, solid choice for quality dining in the Cary/Apex area.
Our server Kaylee was Excellent! She was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help us make good choices. Thank you!
Living in Cary, I consider Chef's Pallate to be one of the best overall restaurants in the area. In the years my wife and I have been going there, we have tasted many of the offerings on the menu and never had a bad meal. Chef's Pallate is extremely consistent. They always have something we want and we always get more than we can eat. The Adobo Shrimp is an excellent appetizer with just the right balance of sweet and heat. Some of our favorite dishes are the steak frites (with that great whiskey peppercorn sauce & parmesan herb fries), the pan-seared flounder, and my new favorite, the parmesan-crusted Branzino. The bar offers a bit lighter fare and we enjoy their burgers and French dip. They have an eclectic wine selection, but, again, I always find a nice glass to go with dinner. I can't speak to their deserts because the entrees always fill us up. I should add that the service has always been excellent... attentive without being intrusive. Overall Chef's Pallate is out go-to restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Service & food were great! The waiter was very friendly, food was delicious, and we definitely will be back!
Interesting menu with great choices. Delicious food, especially the Brie Bites and the Salmon dish. Service was professional but a bit slow for a Monday. I believe the server may have had too many table to cover.
food and service were great! giving 4 stars because they were out of both options (creme brulee and bread pudding) we wanted to choose for dessert and the one we went with (orange crepes) ended up only being okay.

Well don't take it wrong, they USED to be our favorite restaurant, BUT new menu is something....
So, we ordered the duck and chicken francese
The amazing duck dish, with that beautiful big dish and the berry sauce turned to a black oily dish with finger prints on it and a very salty rice and non appetizing taste and look!!!
And then the chicken came on that same plate with cheese rich and sausage in it!! Btw the chicken was tough and hard! Very unusual!
I'm like speechless, what happened to the same old nice dishes!
We are taking a break from going back there after being a loyal customer for years!
Just thought to share so people and staff know what we experienced!
We didn't finish the food, maybe had 25% of it. General manager talked to us but didn't offer to take them off of the check or not even like a free dessert or anything!

We actually had a nice evening with the friends we were meeting for dinner. And want to say right off, Kaylee our server was pleasant, personable, and took good care of us.
So why only 4 stars? ... The food was good, tasty enough, but not the "blown away" expectation for the price. We left satisfied and would not complain about our food nessarily. However, just not raving about, "Oh, how good it was". Maybe we just picked wrong from the menu for our tastes that night. There were other things on the menu in hindsight we wish we would have e ordered.
