Was in town for a quick visit and needed a quick dinner. It was late and they had ran out of a lot of items in the menu but they had brisket left and it was delicious! The manager and staff were all super nice and very accommodating.

Fast Food BBQ
The service and pickles were good. The ribs were not very meaty and dry. The brisket and pork and chicken were mushy, maybe because they are shot with a solution. The fries were limp and sad. It cost $40 for the sampler meal. Did I mention that the service and pickles were good?

Paul and his team at City BBQ in Cary is hands down the best in Carolina! I come visit this location often! Great staff! Amazing foot! And my family and I will continue to come back simply because of Paul and his staff!

Outstanding bbq and chicken today. Sides were outstanding as well- collard greens, fried okra, hand cut fries. Iced tea was great and the restaurant was so clean. All employees were kind.

We ordered two sandwiches off the menu, to go. The not a sloppy Joe sandwich was deconstructed. They gave us a plain bun and next to the plane bun was the meat portion, but they did not include the pickles or the onions drawers at all. It was as if we were supposed to make our own sandwich but they didn't even give us all the ingredients that's supposed to come with it.
Asked for an extra side of horseradish sauce with my cowbell sandwich but that was also missing. Requested the cowbell sandwich to be made "fatty", no it wasn't.
We ordered a side of mac and cheese, but we're not told they were out of mac and cheese. It simply wasn't there when we went to pick up the order.
We visited on October 24th in the evening.

The three meat sampler is very good and plenty for two people to share. Note the three dollar up charge for brisket though.

I love the food here. Everything on the menu is excellent and priced right. Portions are great. HOWEVER, if you order through their app or over the phone, CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE YOU LEAVE. No exaggeration, more than 50% of the time I use the app and pick up my food, there is a item missing. QC needs improvement.

I really hate to do this, but I couldn't find managers contact info on the website. I mean this is the most positive and constructive way possible, this store is a disaster every time we visit. It's to the point we can't spend out money here anymore. I gave it second and third tries before passing judgement.

Each time we visit, they are sold out of the majority of the items on the menu. I get it, economics and resource planning. But would it kill you to say free drinks or a side to make up for having to order and pay for the food you didn't even want to order? Seems like they could offer something to make the customer feel better about wasting their time and money. They just yell at you in the line that all the food is sold out with no customer service at all.

Next the drinks are always empty or put away hours before closing time. Again, I get it to a point, but if your going to charge me $3 for a drink I expect there to be tea and lemonade on tap with plenty of room for refills and to go cups after. On several visits my friends and I had to split the last sips of a tea or lemonade jug, because they had already put the fountains away. 1 jug of tea or lemonade is not enough for a whole restaurant. This on weekends too, no odd times. You shouldn't be haggling with other customers over who gets the last glass of sweat tea?

Additionally the tables are all filthy and disgusting, we typically have to try to sit outside because all the inside tables are so dirty and unkept. And then there is the actual food portions, they are very small to the point where we have to order additional items compared to other City BBQ locations. When you are dropping $15 a head you expect to be full and have refills on your drinks with a clean table. That seems like a fair deal.

I hope someone reads this and takes note of it. I understand how hard it is to run a business, but we can't keep spending this kind of money to be this disappointing each visit. Either the price has to go down or the service and quality have to go up.

Thank you for your time today. Best Regards.
