I ordered a PhotoCake from this Cold Stone and was very impressed! They did a fantastic job and went above and beyond to fulfill all my extra requests. Very disturbed with the service. Very unfortunate that I even have to put a star to leave a review. If possible, I’d leave negative stars. No customer service or common courtesy was given when we walked in. Workers continued personal conversation while we both waited for assistance. When we were waiting for someone to assist us, we watched one of the workers drop the paper for rolling the waffle cones on the floor, proceed to pick it up after making eye contact with us making a face, then roll the waffle cones with the same paper she dropped. The other worker asked what my significant other wanted and she asked for the signature apple pie without pie crust/graham cracker to be added because she has food allergies. Lucky I was paying attention, and watched the worker put the crust into the ice cream. She restarted the order, and we confirmed that only the pie crust was to be absent from the signature. She then didn’t add the cinnamon. As much as we enjoy Cold Stone Ice Cream, we will not be coming back to this establishment. I would rather drive to the Fayetteville location before driving the 7 minutes to go to this location.

I visited Cold Stone Creamery at Parkside Place in Cary on May 23, 2025, around 8:40 PM, after enjoying a delightful dinner in the same plaza. We decided to eat Oreo Birthday Cake ice cream as I have always enjoyed their ice creams. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. I ordered the Oreo Birthday Cake ice cream with pecan and peanut toppings. Upon tasting it, I immediately noticed that the nuts had a stale, off flavor, indicating they might be expired. I brought this to the attention of the staff, and a manager was called over. Regrettably, she stated that there was nothing she could do about it. Despite my concerns about the quality and safety of the toppings, my issue was dismissed without resolution. Feeling unheard and dissatisfied, I discarded my ice cream in the store and left. To my dismay, as we exited, I noticed the staff whispering and laughing among themselves, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful. This experience was incredibly disappointing, especially since I had looked forward to returning to a place I once enjoyed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the quality control and customer service issues at this location.

Had a very unpleasant experience this evening with this place, staff wasn’t professional at all and doesn’t know how to handle the customer complaint, nuts they used in ice cream was very old and smelly and they said nothing can be done. Very disappointed and never going back to this place.

I visited the Cold Stone Creamery at Parkside Place in Cary on May 23, 2025, around 8:40 PM. After eating dinner at another restaurant nearby, we decided to stop by for some ice cream. I was excited to get the Oreo Birthday Cake flavor because I had good memories of it from the past. Unfortunately, the experience was not good. I ordered the Oreo Birthday Cake ice cream and added pecans and peanuts as toppings. But when I tasted it, the nuts tasted stale and old, like they might have gone bad. I told the staff, and they brought over a manager. She said there was nothing they could do about it, which was disappointing. I was concerned about the quality and safety of the toppings, but no one seemed to take it seriously. I paid for it but ended up throwing my ice cream away in the store and leaving. As we walked out, I noticed the staff whispering and laughing, which felt very rude and unprofessional. This visit was really disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to enjoying a treat I used to love. I hope the management looks into the quality of their ingredients and how the staff treats customers.

We frequent this Cold Stone a lot and have spent countless $$ here. We will not be returning to this franchise after today. Our daughter dropped her ice cream as soon as she got outside and was told even though that she dropped it, she has to pay for another one. She had only taken one bite and the rest was visibly on the ground. To pay for another one is insane but they will not see any more of my money at this location. We will go to Apex or Durham next time. $6 mistake.

This is my 3rd time ordering from this Coldstone location and it is by far the best. Prakash and his wife are absolutely AWESOME! Have never failed to impress me and this time was no different. The Minecraft sheet cake was picture perfect, fresh and ready just when I needed it. Couldn’t ask for more! I come from Durham to Cary even though there are 2 other locations in our area because I prefer the cleanliness, the quality and above all, the outstanding service!!
