Love Texas style bbq and was excited to try this place since it has been around for quite awhile. I ordered the large pulled pork plate with sides of green beans and their house potato salad. My husband had the 2 meat plate , brisket ( added charge) and ribs, his sides were fries and baked beans. Unfortunately our meals are best described as MEDIOCRE. The pulled pork, while tender had ZERO flavor. The green beans were very watery (flavor average). The brisket lacked a smoke ring AND flavor. My husband said the ribs and beans were decent ( nothing spectacular). I did enjoy the tasty potato salad- best thing I had. We were also surprised that the Texas toast was only toasted on one side- the other side was just like soft white bread, rather odd. Overall, not many reasons to go back.

Has really gone down hill. Food is ok, portions are very small for the prices they charge, and the service is non existent. You order at the front counter and they bring the food to your table. They promise full table service (and want a big tip up front) but after you pay and your food comes, you will never see the wait staff. Plan on going to the front counter to request your refills, etc. I called to talk with the owner or manager and explained I would rather talk to them about my experience rather than leave a bad review. The woman on the phone explained no one was available so I told her I would just go ahead and leave a bad review. She said ok and thanked me for calling Danny's.

Excellent bar-b-que in a comfortable setting. They keep multiple sauces on the side, so you can try vinegar, mustard, or sweet sauce to your liking.

was referred to this place as being one of the best bbq joints in town but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. granted, we did order to go and had a 30 minute drive.
we ordered two, two meat combos. we got smoked chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. for sides, we got coleslaw, hush puppies, and fried corn.
the good news was that the ribs were delicious. super moist, smoky, and tender. i could’ve finished a rack to myself.
the brisket was a little on the dry side and not much smoke flavor that i’d hope for. the smoked chicken had good smoke flavor and was dry as well. the pulled pork didn’t have much seasoning or smoke flavor either.
for the sides, the cheese curds and hush puppies were great and super tasty. but the fried corn wasn’t anything special. couldn’t really taste the natural corn flavor.
despite all of this, i will give the benefit of the doubt that we did order to go and had a long drive. the staff were super friendly as well. this review won’t deter me from coming back. i agree it would’ve been better to dine in, which i will do next time.

Bring a jacket cause its cold inside. Food is great. Service is closer to fast food style than a full service restaurant.
Our favorite BBQ place. Their house potato salad is fantastic. BBQ is ok point. We don't go out for BBQ or get take out from anywhere else!
good bbq pork and brisket
Great old fasioned bbq place. Several of my friends like it both to eat there and take oout!
All one can ever want in a restaurant. Sign says Best BBQ in the Triangle. Surely true, and as true for a much larger area!
