Hands down my favorite food truck! I've tried everything on the menu at this point and everything is a winner! The service also can't be beat I get so happy when I see these guys at my weekly brewery spot

Merkato has great food and super friendly staff. The helping sizes were solid and the taste was delicious. We were so happy to find them. They're gluten free, dairy free, and peanut free so they're great for allergens too. We will definately be following them and eating their food again!

They were at my apartments today and boy oh boy!! I’d never had Ethiopian food before and it was DELICIOUS!! Super nice guy too. So professional and friendly. Love love love it! I wish I took a picture but I devoured it.

I had never tried Ethiopian food before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect — but I’m so glad I gave it a shot! The food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff was warm, welcoming, and offered great recommendations that really enhanced the experience. This food truck has quickly become one of my top three favorites. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend you give it a try too!

Love this couple and love the food as much. You can tell they put their love in the food and food truck. We will follow them now that we’ve found excellent Ethiopian food, and friends!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Ordered the Veggie plate for myself and the Merkato Special for my husband and they were both excellent.

Highly recommend. Hope they come back to Downtown Cary soon.

We miss our Ethiopian restaurant in town (it closed) so we traveled to try this one out, and without a doubt, perfection! The spices and flavors were spot on!!! We will be following this truck for years to come!

First off, the couple that operate the Merkato food truck are the sweetest people you will meet. We have eaten there probably a dozen times now and have always been greeted with a friendly smile and appreciation for our business. The food is always fresh, delicious, and a generous portion. If you are looking to try something new give Merkato a try.

This location no longer exist. Drove 20 minutes for nothing. Called the restaurant and spoke to someone who told me to go to their website to see about there current location instead of actually giving me instructions on where or how to get there. Really sucks cause I was really excited to try this place cause of reviews.

My family and I tried this food truck for the first time tonight and it was SO GOOD!!! My BF and I both got the mercato special and my 14 year old son got the beef tibs - it was fresh, the meats were tender, and the spices were perfect - intense, but in all the right ways - super tasty and not overpowering at all. The staff were very friendly, and the prices for the portion sizes are more than reasonable. We will be back! If you haven’t tried them, your tastebuds are missing out!

The owners are a delight. They’re passionate and very friendly. The food is delicious and a must try!
