we just got moved to the back of the restaurant because my gf kissed my cheek ok ok i get it one kid was there facing the opposite way and the old man didn’t wanna see it. Forgot one of our sides. Probably not for couples. The blonde server was very nice though, she wasn’t even our server but she kept up with our drinks.
UPDATE we just got home and our food was absolutely trash we wouldn’t recommend coming in

I’m big about giving places a second chance so we did because we really wanted to like this place. The service wasn’t great to start. No one smiles and has a warm friendly greeting or looks like they want to be there. The first time we went it was dead but for some reason, we had two different people serving us. The second time we went it was a little busier but not by much and we had 3 different people serving us- not sure why and totally unnecessary. Each time after we finished, I had to get up and ask them to come to our table to cash out and for boxes after waiting at least 10 minutes after they’d given us our check. All of the servers that were serving us were standing around behind the bar talking which annoyed us even more. The food was just meh for how pricey it was. I had eggs Benedict and the eggs came out hard though I asked for soft and the hollandaise sauce was COLD… not even like it’d been sitting out but cold like out of the fridge cold. The potatoes were undercooked and just overall a disappointing experience both times.

Finally went in with my wife to check this place out for a late breakfast/brunch after having passed by it a few times. Based on a cursory glance of other reviews for this place, Famous Toastery is definitely a hit or miss depending on when you go. This means there is no consistency in the service. Overall, my visit to Famous Toastery left a lot to be desired; the food was cold and the service could have been better.
What I ordered:
1) 1x Breakfast Combo (1 Flapjack, 2 eggs scrambled, with thick-cut bacon on the side). 1x Iced latte with vanilla
2) 1x Stuffed French toast with Nutella and banana.
The food came out not too long after we ordered which was nice, but could be expected as it was a Wednesday morning and not very busy; This may have been a warning sign for what was to come. The main issue is that all the food was cold when it arrived.
Both the Flapjack and the bread portion of the Stuffed French toast was undercooked/underdone. For the French Toast, it felt like the Nutella and banana were just spread on two pieces of untoasted/uncooked bread; normally the heat from cooking the French toast and melting the Nutella and banana is a winning combination, but this was not the case in our situation. The scrambled eggs were also cold (but fully cooked) and, along with an iced latte that did not taste like it had any coffee, made for a very poor experience.
This was a situation where I ate more than I wanted to because I was hungry, not because it tasted good. Even then, we did not eat all the food.
A disclaimer about our experience: we did not speak to our server about the issues with the food. Since there were issues with all the dishes we ordered, this gives the impression that there is a bigger issue with how the food is prepared and felt that it would not be worth the time or effort to bring this to their attention. To be frank, the staff missed out on the opportunity to catch this as they did not check in on us after the food had arrived.
The experience was so underwhelming we left the place still hungry.

I had an absolutely dreadful experience at this restaurant. While I anticipated a 20-minute wait, the 40-minute wait for a simple sandwich and eggs was unacceptable, especially considering the complete lack of service during that time. To add insult to injury, after paying, I realized I'd forgotten my leftovers – a substantial two-thirds of my meal. I immediately went back, only to discover the server had already discarded it. If you value attentive service and a restaurant that cares about its customers, I strongly advise you to avoid this place.
One star is too many! DO NOT GO HERE unless you enjoy horrendous service and your time being wasted. This place deserves every negative review, but I can’t rate the food because we never got any. We walked in and after standing for a bit, a girl finally came over looking annoyed we were there, no greeting, no smile. We sat at a table. Five minutes later no waitperson, no be with you in a minute, nothing. Ten minutes later and still nothing! I could see 4 waitresses at their duty station. They were doing nothing but talking to each other. At least one was using her phone to show the others whatever was more important than their jobs or tips! We noticed the bar seating was empty and actually had a bartender behind it. We decided to move, hopeful we would finally get water and coffee at least. We approached the bar and asked the bartender if we could sit there instead. No smile, no greeting, just a head nod. We sat and she immediately walked away without even asking what we wanted to drink! Five more minutes went by. The bartender never returned, the foursome hadn’t moved, and were still talking with each other. Needless to say, we got up and left.

The sandwich was just okay. Service was very slow. We had to flag down our server to get the check. She never checked back with us to ask if all was good

Great place for brunch in cary. It is usually very busy and there is a waiting line on weekends since they don't take reservations. They only serve breakfast and lunch and have a variety of healthy choices. I had a cali eggs Benedict which was tasty.
They have group service by the waitstaff and it is spotty. One minute after I told the waitress my wife was gluten free , she asked what kind of bread she wanted. The thing is they have gluten free bread, but she wasn't really listening to us. Nice place with room for improvement.

Food was delicious. Bacon came out undercooked but they quickly fixed it. Overall not bad but rather go to other locations for the cost.

I have been here a few times before. Never really a wait. Service has always been good to me, but I don't like the everyone is your server method. It ends up bothering me as everyone is asking how the meal is. Sorry, i dont need to be asked six times of the same question.
Food is good, but portions are lacking. No hashbrown or potatoes. Only one piece of toast and prices are high for what you get. I likely wouldn't go back. It is unfortunate. I do like the place, atmosphere, location to me and the taste of the food, but I leave there hungry. If I'm going to spend $20 for one person, then I want to leave full.

Seeing the other negative reviews, at least I don't feel singled out for lousy service. Our group had reservations. The waitress who took our order & brought the food was nice, but she never returned to see if we needed anything else or to refill waters/drinks. We had to scrounge around to get enough utensils for people. We were told to pay up front, but no one was working there. By then the place wasn't even that busy. A woman came over to say a few words to someone who was waiting on a to go order, but she ignored me and ran off. Luckily, I had cash, so instead of waiting over 10 minutes, I left it with my bill and left. There was no butter with the french toast, & the food and service is a lot better at Briggs. You'll have better service at IHOP. I would have left a nice cash tip if it weren't for the dismal service. It's a nice-looking restaurant, but that's about the best thing about the place. You've lost a customer.

My family all got sick yesterday. we all started vomiting and such a few hours after we ate...we had eggs sausage waffles and French toast and oatmeal it was delivered.....im assuming was the eggs or meat. Something was off about the eggs taste in my opinion but can't be certain what exactly made us sick we all shared everything.. ...thats all we ate yesterday so there is no other food source that got us sick
