Genki Restaurant & Sushi Bar

I've come to Genki many of times. My wife loves the sushi. I like their service & the atmosphere. They have TV's like a bar where you can watch games. Food came out pretty quickly & the wait staff was very attentive.

It was a rather small place and a bit far away from us, but we wanted to try it out. Staff was nice and came by frequently. The food was rather expensive, especially the sushi (it's not bogo). Outside of sushi the menu selection was pretty limited too. Taste wise it was not bad, but given the price and selection I doubt we'll be back.

Reasonably good sushi place. I think this would match what a lot of people think of when they imagine a sushi restaurant, and a lot of your typical rolls are available. Convenient location and reasonably priced.

Went there for lunch to meet up with a friend while she was on her lunch break and the food was good. I had the hibachi chicken but it was definitely a very small amount. I actually cleared my plate which I never do. The amount of chicken I received would probably have fit in the palm of my hand. It was their lunch portion, but still after the chicken, rice, vegetables (which was mostly zucchini and very little mushrooms which I was told there would be a mix of mushrooms and zucchini, I had asked for no onions), and a drink all for $20 with a tip, wasn't necessarily worth it for me. The hibachi chicken had a wonderful flavor though!

This is our go to sushi spot! The sushi rolls are always fresh and the hibachi is good too! We love it here and have become regulars it’s so good.

Honestly probably a nice place, I placed an online order here because I thought it was genki sushi in Wilmington. They had the same name and similar online order application so I didn’t think to much of it. I had just placed my order when I realized it said pick up in Cary and I called immediately. When I told them what happened, they told me it was already made, and essentially telling me I couldn’t cancel my order or really get a refund. I’m just a little annoyed that I spent money on lunch that I can’t even eat. It was definitely my fault because I should’ve looked at the location than just the name, but they never even tried to help just told me I should’ve looked better despite me calling literally within 2 minutes to cancel. Just a little sad and hungry but I’m sure that the salmon roll tasted good 😭

Food and sushi are excellent. Hibachi dishes are scratch made and not frozen like most Asian restaurants. Although food was excellent the two times we went, the server seemed to have a bad attitude. Other than the server, food is excellent and priced very fairly.

Very attentive and prompt service. Tempura is a little too heavy on the oil or coating. I didn't care for the fried rice or the salad dressing at all

Great sushi. How can you miss putting Wasabi in the order? It should be automatic. Be sure to check your order carefully before you leave the restaurant. Highly disappointed!
