Excellent service by owner, nice atmosphere, and clean. Rolls were fresh but very small and flavorless. Soy sauce and eel sauce tasted funny...highly fermented, unfilteted flavor. Was excited to get quail eggs, but for the first time in my life, they were bland.. even the seaweed wrap must have been low sodium. Used to eat here a lot, but there became so much competition that was better, we stopped coming. This meal confirmed our decision.

Short review: bad service with long wait time for pick up order and for reservations. Not worth the wait.

Long review: I placed a pick up order and was told it would be ready in 40-45 minutes. I arrived 45 minutes after I placed the order and waited for an additional 40 minutes. It was clear they kept forgetting about our order and we had to keep reminding them we were there. While I was there, I saw many people with reservations waiting 20-30 minutes past the time they scheduled it. Lastly, I asked that the rules with shim and them box separately because we had a person who is allergic. When the food eventually did come out, All of it was together, and they acknowledged that it should’ve been box separately as we asked for it.

Love this place and their food! Owner/manager is so kind and such a hard worker. My favorite rolls are the volcano and the genki special. Lemon drop martini is on point! I always have great service and great food, rarely do they make a mistake with food but they will always fix it! Great for a date night or casual dinner!

Hopefully the owner reads this: there's obviously a trend of inflation, giving smaller portion sizes, etc. Restaurants seem to think customers don't notice, but people absolutely do.

Ordered the chkn teriyaki lunch for ~11 bucks. I opened it up, and I kid you not, it had 6 small strips of chicken. I'm talking like 1/3rd of a medium sized chicken thigh cut up, or less.

I'd have refunded it immediately if it were doordash.

My family has been coming here for literally 10 years. Next time I see some anemic portion size here, you guys can rely on other regulars to support you.

100% Best sushi in the Cary/HS/Apex area. Always delicious and tightly wrapped rolls that don’t fall apart when you pick them up. No BOGO, but prices aren’t crazy so it’s worth it in the end. Everything else is great too.

My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years, and it has consistently been a fantastic experience. The staff is incredible, the food is delicious, and the entire experience is so good that even though we moved across the country, this is one of two restaurants we HAD to go to when we visited. We love it here and can't recommend it enough!!!
