Update*** this location closed on September 19th, 2018*** I went here with someone else, they love these cupcakes. They offered two sizes a full cupcake which was huge and a bit size one which is about two bits lol.

Only thing stopping this place from getting 5 stars is too much frosting. Nearly as much frosting as cake! Might work for some people, just not me. That being said, both frosting and cake taste great.

Cupcakes were great as usual. The young lady working the counter wasn't very pleasant and I found it odd they didn't have any beverages like milk, tea, or coffee to cut through the sweetness of all that icing like they do at the other locations. Only soda and water.

Dry and no flavor. I ordered a lemon cupcake and it was a basic vanilla.

Only place I can go, in a world where they use traditional butter everywhere else uses soy oil now which makes me severely ill, luckily this place makes the cakes the traditional way. I don't understand the reviews saying the cakes are dry especially as a lot of the cakes have a filling and because they bake with the butter they stay moist unlike store bought cakes. I love this place the icing is too sweet though but I don't care yum yum

We ordered cupcakes for my daughter's wedding from Gigi's in Cary, NC. The wedding was in Carolina Beach (2-1/2 hrs away) so we made plans to have them packaged specially (extra wrapping was promised to keep fresh) and we arranged to have them picked up on Friday for the Saturday wedding. She ordered cupcakes and reserved tiers to display them on. On Friday, the individual who was picking them up contacted Gigi's to confirm the order and was told they knew nothing about the cupcakes. The bride had to get in touch with them and review the order, assuring that the cupcakes and tiers would be ready for pick up. When the individual picked up the cupcakes on Friday there were no tiers provided. I contacted Gigi's and spoke to the owner who essentially told me it was my problem; they did not show we wanted tiers to display the cake and cupcakes on, even though we had confirmed these facts the day before. He was extremely rude, basically yelling over the telephone. He did agree on a partial refund following my suggestion that would be appropriate customer service. The cupcakes WERE VERY DRY - no additional wrapping had been provided. SO DISAPPOINTED in product quality and customer service. Would not recommend this business.

Okay, I can't believe some of these poor ratings. This place is awesome! The cupcakes taste unbelievable. They are moist,--and yes, THEY'RE SWEET, like a dessert is supposed to be. They have a variety of great flavors. The wedding cake is to die for! Yes, it is pricey, but it's worth it for these "upscale" cupcakes. I'll admit ir, I love frosting, and they are loaded with frosting. By far, these are the best cupcakes I have ever had. When I visit home (North Carolina) from New England--this is a must have--a guilty pleasure.

Sad to see these bad reviews. our experience yesterday was wonderful. My daughter and I bought 1 wedding cupcake and 1 chocolate chip cupcake. Wow! They were amazing!!! The cashier was polite and complimented my wallet. 😁 we look forward to visiting again during our next trip to Raleigh!
