It was just OK. Ordered wings Crispy and they weren't even close. Local beer was good and service was good. I'm in NC monthly for business, not sure I'd go back.

I’d give it a 0 if I could! I had simple stuff n they couldn’t get that right …My drink was horrible!,a basic margarita Then I get my food and it’s even worse😩… my fishes old n greasy and they put all of this salty crap on it to try to hide it! The server first said they were out of grits but came back and said they had some, well..My grits had water added to them😡crap was horrible! I was visiting from out of town I DON’T RECOMMEND… save your time money and stomach🤮🤮

Caution- wing Wednesday does NOT include wing entree even though it’s on the menu in the wings section. Service was good though, except for manager refusing to amend menu/special discrepancy without an explanation.

This place sucks! We were told twenty minutes wait even though there were plenty of tables open. The host took name and number and never called. Then after thirty minutes my husband asked the same male host, surely there is a table now and he clearly forgot. Nor did he communicate with server what had happened. We took our appetizer and drinks from bar to table and no server ever showed up. Not all people can sit at those high chair seats. We expected the same great food and service you get from the original Hickory Tavern. The two bartenders were excellent! But everything else needs a revamp.

Where do I start. It was busy when we visited there but my god they are severely understaffed. And that was evident in their service. Though our hostess was really good but she couldn’t come and see us for orders (after initial drinks and apps) for good 30-40 mins. We were with kids and it was difficult to manage hungry kids for that long. No care for customers, had errors in drinks, food orders and we left without mains because they didn’t have some items which we would have figured out had we not waited for 30-40 mins. This place used to be really good in all departments but I had to drop this review for them to really know they need to pick up their game here.
We could see they were understaffed and honestly I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt thinking these things happen but this has been the experience for last 2 to 3 times. So had to moist this.

If I could give negative stars I would. I came here last night & ordered a smokehouse burger. Within 4 hours, my stomach started to cramp & became nauseous. By 3am today I have been throwing up, experiencing diarrhea, & cold sweats. I had to go to the hospital for food poisoning & received a $500 from the ER. The regional manager finally returned my call & stated they could not give me a $40 refund due to it being against their policy but offered to give me gifts cards. WHY WOULD ANYONE COME BACK TO EAT AT AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT THEY GOT FOOD POISONING FROM?! I never got an apology for being served the food or for the day I’ve experienced since. For your health, DO NOT EAT HERE!

Loved it. The asparagus and burger was cooked perfectly. The shotgun betty beer was tasted a bit watery though.

Food was good, wings and beer all evening while we watched football. Server started out excellent then disappeared more and more the longer we were there. For a table of 6 spending $250+ on drinks and snacks it should have been an easy trip from businessmen but empty glasses for twenty minutes was a let down. At one point there wasn't a server on the floor or a bartender, then they all came out of the back with the boss man like there was a meeting back there. Had to flag down two different servers for refills. Unfortunate because all past experiences were great.
Food was lukewarm, the drink was made with flat Prosecco, and the chili was also lukewarm. I watched the bartender grab a used glass for another customer’s beer. The bartenders were a little busy, but never asked about our food or refills.

I got the Diablo burger and fries and they both were very greasy and tasted just ok. Person next to me got the Power bowl and it sounded great on the menu but they said it was just alright. I'm not sure if it was just an off night, I'd give it another try, but not confidently.

The shrimp and grits were way too greasy. It was hard to find the grits. And, the grits were underdone. Not creamy at all... If I come back, I will stick to pub food.
