Balls in sockets
Nice pool hall. Only complaint is the loud raunchy trap music that plays in the afternoons.
I've been coming to hhb for over a decade. This place has been an amazing establishment from the beginning. Mindy and Brian are the owners, they treat every person as family and the patrons are top notch. The current bartenders are some of the best they have ever had! Rachel is a warm person with a friendly smile to greet you with a beer. Cara will have your drink ready at the end of the bar before you get out of your car. Julianna is the definition of sincere and funny. The tables are regularly maintained and the place is pack during the week for leauge. If you are looking for a pool hall and people to be strangers to friends, I highly recommend high House billiards!
Since 2015 I have been a patron of this establishment. I enjoy the 9’ Brunswick tables, the APA league, but mostly the atmosphere of friends and family. The bartenders have been wonderful. I appreciate the owners taking the time to get to know everyone and listen to comments and concerns. Highly recommend stopping in for a drink or a game! Be sure to ask about league nights too.
High house billiards is great! Friendly atmosphere and enjoyable. I especially enjoy my service from Kara! She is attentive and great bartender that can anticipate my needs. 5 star all the way around.
Terrible service and employees
Look, I’ve lived down the street from here for 5+ years, and I’ve never had an issue coming to shoot pool. Until recently. The girl with the blue/pink hair, I believe her names Cara, is an incredibly unprofessional bartender. Bartenders aren’t exactly supposed to be professional, but haven’t yall heard of that saying where you don’t bring your personal life into your work? Well that’s exactly what she did. I don’t care what’s happened, I’m a paying customer, watching my boyfriend play pool in his league. All was good until she came in. She literally refused to serve me, look me in my eyes, or even acknowledge my presence. I waited at the bar with an empty glass and beer bottle for literally almost 10mins. It wasnt very busy, but every person who came up to the bar after me was greeted and served. It wasn’t until I very loudly stated that she wouldn’t serve me, that she finally asked what I was drinking. Whatever. Cool. Like I said, I don’t care. But this is what got me — I had left (after closing out of course) to go pay my babysitter because it was late, but I couldn’t find my boyfriend. She had served him multiple beers and he was very intoxicated. After looking for him, I came back to the bar to ask if he was there, she said no, and I asked if I could leave MY phone number in case he did come back, just so I’d know he was safe. I had his phone, wallet, everything, because he left all of it. So you’d think asking the bartender, who served him so much, wouldn’t be a big deal, right? Apparently, it was. She was unprofessional in the sense that she didn’t keep her customer safe. And isn’t that the #1 rule as a bartender? Isn’t the “dram shop law” a thing? She is responsible for over serving him and letting him leave. Am I wrong? So why the actual fork would she refuse to take MY PHONE NUMBER just to let me know if he ended up back there in his drunken state? Please, tell me because I genuinely cannot wrap my head around this. I admit, I let my emotions get the best of me after she started yelling at me about the phone number thing, and I said some things that I didn’t mean. But please understand, I was terrified; I couldn’t find him anywhere. He’s the father of my child for crying out loud. But she overserved him and LET him leave. And what’s ‘funny’, is that he did cause harm to himself and others. And literally, we can sue her. Legally. I’m not that much of a jerk, but I’m stunned. I’m just baffled that someone would ever let their job be in jeopardy over some petty bs, when all I was trying to do was make sure my boyfriend was okay and safe. All I’m saying is, she’s a liability to this pool hall, and I’d be careful going there.

Excellent bartender, clean and respectful patrons! Just make sure you check to see if it's league night so you can reserve a table.
Awesome atmosphere and experience and knowledgeable staff. They walk to the bar to check on people and refill drinks. Couldn’t ask for a better place to shoot pool. The owners are amazing and caring people that rally behind many causes for their customers. Brian and Mindy are upstanding owners who truly care about their customers and employees.
