With free tea, amazing food, and good service, Himalayan Nepali Cuisine is easily my favorite restaurant in Cary. Everything is delicious, spice is variable, and allergens are clearly marked on the menu so if there is a need to accommodate anybody's allergies, it is easy and delightful to do so.
But if you come, come right when it opens at 5pm or make reservations and come on time for it. This place fills up fast. You do not want to wait in line because people wait outside for a spot.

This Mexican food not bad
Absolutely loved the food! The chicken korma was rich and flavorful, the onion kulcha was soft and perfectly crisp on the edges, and the fried momos were delicious. Great taste and friendly service — definitely recommend!

The food was disappointing—the rice was stale and definitely not worth the price.
It’s been a while since I had Nepali food so I was stoked to see that there’s a small, family-owned restaurant here in Cary, NC.
Himalayan Nepali Cuisine is located in a little strip so there is plenty of room for parking and I love how there’s a Tibetan/Himalayan gift shop right next door!
Right when we walked in, we were seated and served some warm sweet ginger tea and papad which is a thin/crispy Nepali flatbread-cracker.
We ordered the following:
Chicken Momo
Nepali Chicken Curry
Garlic Naan
Everything was delicious! The chicken filling inside the momo was yummy and the curry sauce was slightly tangy and spicy from the tomatoes and chilis. The only thing I wish was different was the temperature- the momo’s were a little lukewarm so I wish it was higher in temperature but this was still a solid dish!
The Nepali Chicken Curry also had that spicy/tangy flavor from all the ingredients and spices. The chicken pieces were juicy, tender, and went well with the rice and garlic naan. Speaking of naan, this was my sister and I’s favorite. The naan was crispy on the outside with a nice chewiness on the inside. And the garlic seasoning on top was just *chef’s kiss*.
Overall, Himalayan Nepali Cuisine had attentive/kind service and delicious, affordable food made with love and care- what more could you ask for :)!

This is the best Nepali restaurant in the triangle area. What I love most about their food is that they hardly use any oil and still make it taste delicious. Other restaurants overload on oil and garam masala and the food is ruined, but this place makes food taste like a home cooked meal. We’ve tried several items on the menu and have yet to be disappointed! The staff here are also very helpful and friendly, they always offer tea even when you are picking food up for take out. Definitely one of my favorites!

Restaurantji Recommends
This was the first dining experience for the four of us. We were warmly greeted and immediately served with their delicious complimentary ginger tea while we browsed the extensive menu. We ordered garlic naan, samosas and samosa chat. All quite tasty. I also thought the govi Manchurian was excellent. But I would say the chili chicken momos were my favorite. We also had steamed chicken momos, lamb vindaloo, chicken vindaloo and mango Lassi. And the service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place.

This place deserves 5 stars all around - the staff, the colors and quality of the dishes, the house tea. It just all makes you feel like part of a home cooked dining experience that always makes me want to come back.

I currently live in California, I fly to Raleigh JUST TO EAT HERE!!! I’ve eaten cuisines from all over the world, and I recommend this place to anyone who visits Raleigh, I recommend people go to NC, just to eat here. If this place was in NYC, it would have a Michelin star. You owe it to yourself to eat here. I believe without a doubt that this place should be nominated for a Michelin star.

Awesome little place in Cary with absolutely fantastic food. You start with a delicious ginger tea that is so soothing. We ordered the steamed chicken momos, tikka masala and malai kofta. Everything was an absolute flavor bomb. Some of the best dishes like this that we’ve had. Wait staff is very friendly and kind. Absolutely would check this place out!
