Hidden gem of Cary. Best Italian food I’ve had in the Raleigh area!! Every dish was delicious. My husband and I split the risotto and the chicken parm. Risotto was delicious and the chicken parm was amazing (especially the cream sauce on the side homemade pasta). The wine was on point. Service was perfect, attentive but not overbearing. Plus you get to meet the owner. My water glass was never empty. Can’t wait to return! My only regret is I don’t have enough left overs!

We had a wonderful experience at La Grassa! We picked this place at random and were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the wait staff and kitchen staff!! If you are in the Cary area looking for a luxurious dining experience check out La Grassa!

It's hard to believe that the reviews I looked at (and based our decision to dine at this restaurant) are about the same place I visited a few weeks ago.

For starters it is not a fancy place, the atmosphere is more like a luncheonette, which I absolutely would not have a problem with, if the experience was better.

We shared an appetizer that was calamari which I am not joking had 4 calamaries in it. It was not breaded and was chewy, I suspect the sauce on it was decent but there was NO BREAD, not free, and the foccia bread was not available that night. ??

Nor was the entree I wanted - Bolognese …I figured how can u lose with that? The pasta I had was overcooked and really not very tasty.

Drinks were VERY over priced as was everything on the menu. For one drink each, a shared appetizer (bad) and two plates of pasta, the bill was $145 with tip (service WAS good). If it was $60 I'd say it was below par.

What sort of Italian restaurant has no bread? Will not return.

loved the music/ambience and the food was amazing <3 the owner caught us when we were leaving (we thought it was too close to closing) and invited us in. I got the eggplant (delicious) - 10/10 experience!

Overpriced and average food. Celebrating a special occasion that I noted in the reservation and it was not even acknowledged by the server. The final insult was a 2.75% service charge to pay with a credit card. The service charge was a surprise when we received our bill. Really disappointed. Will not go back.

This place is the closest thing to authentic Italian I’ve ever had. The starters, especially the arancini, are to die for.

This place is truly a hidden gem! From appetizers to mains to dessert, every single dish is incredible — you can tell how much care goes into the food. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the owner is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, always coming by to say hello and to ensure you're happy.
We have dined here 4x now and it has never disappointed us. We've brought family, friends and had simple date nights. Each time was fantastic.

What makes it even better is how stress-free the experience feels compared to dining in downtown Cary or Fenton. No crowds, easy parking, and you can actually relax and enjoy yourself. Honestly, part of me doesn’t even want to share this secret so it doesn’t get too busy, but they deserve the love. Make sure to save room or get the tiramisu to go! Highly recommend!

Atmosphere:
Cozy with just the right touch of sophistication. It felt comfortable and stylish without trying too hard. Great for a relaxed dinner or a special night out.

Service:
Really impressed. Our waiter let me try a wine first, actually listened to what I didn’t like, and then picked out something perfect. It felt personal and thoughtful, not just going through the motions.

Food:
What can I say? Absolutely delicious. Everything was light, flavorful, and just the right amount. I’ve been trying to find a place that captures the taste of real Italian food—and this is it. So, so good.
