The sushi is amazing. The “M Special” is my personal favorite. Most recently, I got the Gyudon (beef bowl) and it was super tasty. Just be warned it’s a lot of food! Also, their miso soup is so so good! I love that they offer a lunch menu on Saturdays.

Echoing the exact sentiment of another 1 star review on here by Darnell B four months ago, he seems to have had the exact same issue as us. My girlfriend and friend dined here for dinner and BOTH got sick that night with mild food poisoning. Obviously ate nothing out of the ordinary that day or I wouldn't be posting this. She called and David was dismissive and unhelpful, didn't seem genuinely concerned and immediately became defensive regarding the situation (huge red flag). She didn't ask for ANYTHING by the way, and only wanted to inform the restaurant as is the responsible thing to do.
I then called to follow-up for some kind of restitution/any kind of apology or bit of sympathy and without hesitation he continued his rehearsed defensive lines, first saying we needed "proof" (sure let me fish it out of the toilet...). Throughout our call he failed to demonstrate a modicum of professionalism you'd expect from any place of business. He actually had the audacity to hang up on me TWICE, claiming I was "yelling" when I immediately called him back. Similar to the other review, he tries to dismiss our experience again by claiming "no one else has called about this" (I've found that often people let these things go so to me that's irrelevant, probably saving themselves the hassle of dealing with the Davids of the world).
Well I for one don't tolerate his intolerance so I've already filed a complaint with Wake County's Health & Safety Department. Agree with the other reviewer that it's good practice to ask for more specific details of any incident like this and treat health & safety seriously. You'd think his "46 years in the industry" would've taught him this alongside maybe a dash of empathy or perhaps some compassion if we're lucky. I expect a colorful response to this review to paint me as the bad guy and further dismiss what he calls "claims" as he did with the other review. Flu season as an excuse for food poisoning is a laughable response to that other review. David, don't waste the time, clean up your kitchen and maybe your act while you're at it.
We went for date night and wasn't disappointed!
The food was amazing, the service was great and the experience of cooking at the table the lobster and the Kobe steak was pretty fun.
I was worried about the space between the tables but it was fine, we could have a conversation and not hear much of the others conversations and we still were able to have private setting. A bit more space would be better but it's a small space.
I would visit again frequently but not go all out like we did on our anniversary but I will go and order regular menu items.

Hands down the best sushi in the area. Authentic, fresh, and the experience - everything was perfect. I got nigiri omakase and everything was delicious. Every fish cuts were very high quality, and every piece had the perfect balance of acidity. I can have their chawanmushi all day as well 😂☺️ Our server was wonderful too - wish I knew her name. I loved the sake that was paired with our omakase and it was the one our server recommended us! For a “even better” experience, I recommend making a reservation at a bar area! Anyways all in all, highly recommended! 🤍 will be back definitely.

We finally found a sushi place to truly enjoy,
I would recommend a reservation, but we were able to be squeezed in and the wait was under an hour.
We tried almost all rolls and the cocktails were fantastic, can’t wait to go back!

I went here recently for a work lunch then a family lunch the following week. during both visits everything we had was great. They have some of the freshest, if not THE freshest sashimi/nigiri, in the triangle. I had different servers on each visit and both were excellent. Favorites were the sashimi dish and the spicy tuna on crispy rice. Worth a visit. Will go back sometime for the dinner omakase experience.

The Valentine's Day Omakase and the Wine + Sake pairing was amazing! I'm still thinking about the Wagyu. This is a comfortably intimate place for a date night with amazing service. The waitress was very knowledgeable about every course and had suggestions on how to have the best experience with each dish.

M Sushi in Fenton Cary is a true gem for lunch, especially if you're a sushi lover. I recently had the pleasure of trying their Sushi Deluxe, and it was an absolutely flawless experience from start to finish. Each piece of nigiri and sashimi was meticulously prepared, showcasing the chef's artistry and dedication to quality. What truly impressed me was the server's knowledge and enthusiasm. They took the time to explain each type of fish, its origin, and any unique characteristics, elevating the meal beyond just delicious food to an educational and engaging experience. The fish was incredibly fresh and melted in my mouth. Beyond the sushi itself, I appreciated the attention to detail. Their miso soup was rich and flavorful, a perfect complement to the meal. And, as someone with dietary restrictions, I was thrilled to learn that both their miso and soy sauce are gluten-free, allowing me to fully enjoy the meal without worry. M Sushi's commitment to quality ingredients, skillful preparation, and attentive service makes it a standout choice for lunch in Fenton Cary. I highly recommend it!

This place has the best quality sushi and we’ve been here about 8 times already. The service is always attentive and the people that work there definitely take their jobs seriously. We started with the edamame and the deluxe nigiri sampler. Each piece of nigiri had a unique taste and did not disappoint. We also ordered the truffle seared tuna (delicious), maguro futomaki (fresh and flavorful), and the dynamite roll (a nice kick and tasty). This place is our go to sushi spot for a date night!
