rude Barmaid, they have gambling machines and I put a 20 in there and was more or less called a liar when I told them that it ate the 20 and I didn’t get to play and when I called up there, they told me that he was just gonna give it to me, but it wasn’t over like I’m gonna lie about $20. They can keep that 20, they just lost customers and with a rude barmaid keep it. The funny thing was the other Barmaid was right there heard the machine and seen it. Nice way to lose customers. If i could give a zero i would, first off you don’t call a customer a liar.

Mac's Tavern is like an old school pub. Lots of locals patron here. Food is great. Service is always good, even when there are crowds during live music events. And I have never had an issue with food. Always delicious and hot.

I wish I was writing this review to be great but unfortunately this isn't the case. My husband and I got food from here . I got an order to go which was the taco salad the portion size was great but the taste not so much. Their was no flavor to the beef salsa was mid and the lettuce tasted wet and old . I barley had any tomatoes or cheese . I'm a sucker for a good taco salad but this was plain Jane again I was hoping to have a better experience considering this was my first time ordering food from this place.

My wife and I love Mac's Tavern. we've been going there for years and never have anything but great service, good food, and ice cold drinks.
It's a great hangout for just the two of you s bu also with a group of friends. plus the often have live bands in the space out back.

Tried Mac's while working late in downtown raleigh. They had a decent late-night menu. Service was good. The food was ok! Maybe it's better early in the day or night. Seem a like a local bar. Few drafts on tap. Also, some bottle and can beer available, too .
Wow my parents had a terrible experience at Mac’s tavern. One of the managers said my dad has fallen before and I can contest he has never fallen and we’ve been there plenty of times and never had an issue till now. He’s handicapped and uses a walker and my mom and I are always there to help him and also is in remission of cancer and so they banned him from serving him meanwhile people there can do drugs and are really intoxicated. I believe this is discrimination and I won’t stand for it!!! As I am in the healthcare industry I think something has to be done about this because this made me very upset that they would treat my dad like this. And apparently he’s not the only one being discriminated against😡😡

I wanted to go out for a nice quiet night. I wanted to hear my favorite country hits. I wanted good food and great drinks. I found it all at Mac’s. I was greeted by a very outspoken customer as I entered. He told me to let him know if I had any problems being helped and he would take care of it for me. I thought maybe he had “one too many”. I quickly saw what he meant. The bartender served everyone except me. In 2024, I would hate to say that it was a racial thing and refuse to berate my awesome experience due to one person’s preferences/limitations. She was kind enough to get someone from the back to help me and she was super kind, knowledgeable, and courteous! My drink was perfect! They have the TouchTunes software (which is what led me there) so I was able to play the music that I wanted to hear! I ended up getting my food (medium buffalo wings and crab & shrimp parm dip) to go! Some of the best food I’ve had since being in the triangle! Wow! I ate it so fast, I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture. It was very reasonably priced. I will be back! I hope that’s not a problem!
