My wife and I love Mac's Tavern. we've been going there for years and never have anything but great service, good food, and ice cold drinks. It's a great hangout for just the two of you s bu also with a group of friends. plus the often have live bands in the space out back.

Tried Mac's while working late in downtown raleigh. They had a decent late-night menu. Service was good. The food was ok! Maybe it's better early in the day or night. Seem a like a local bar. Few drafts on tap. Also, some bottle and can beer available, too
