Dined in for the first time this weekend. I had the curry vegetarian ramen and let me tell you - it was the first good veggie ramen I have had in the triangle. It was delicious. As for the sushi, it remains the best mid-tier sushi for the price in the area. Some of the rolls are a miss, but 90 percent of them are tasty.

Went on a Friday evening for dinner, Sushi was fresh and delicious. Will return
I stopped by for lunch today. I ordered tofu as an appetizer, and for the main course, I had an Alaska roll and a Dragon roll. Both sushi rolls had an overdose of cucumbers! Normally, there’s just a small piece of cucumber, but today, they made up the majority of the rolls. There was more cucumber than rice and other ingredients. In fact, there was less rice than in an average sushi roll. I felt too shy to take a photo since the service was excellent, and the place had great reviews. By the end of my meal, I just started putting aside the pile of cucumbers so I could at least taste the sushi. It wasn’t a very good experience for $40.

We have enjoyed dining at Masa several times over the past couple of years, and generally, the food has been satisfactory. However, our recent experiences have been disappointing. On three consecutive occasions, our orders have been incorrect, missing ingredients, or of poor quality.
Furthermore, given the distance we travel to dine here, we were disheartened to find that our concerns were only addressed with itemized credits on the meal. We believe that a more proactive approach to resolving customer issues is warranted.
Unfortunately, based on these recent experiences, we will no longer be dining at Masa.
