I received a text that my order was ready, but when I went to pick it up, there was no cup for the coffee I ordered. I asked the female staff member in front of me for a coffee cup, but she just handed me the cup without saying anything. Then, when I went to get my coffee with the cup, the coffee tank was empty. Panera's food and coffee are delicious, and the atmosphere is nice, but the service is terrible. I think Panera needs more training for their staff.

DISAPPOINTED MILITARY VETERAN
I go to get the Veteran's deal (coffee, pastry or bakery) today on Veteran's Day. The female in drive thru was unaware of it. So she asked the assistant GM Damien about it. He acted as if this was something new. Must be a Gen Z. I felt disrespected and disappointed that him being a so called GM that he wasn't aware of what's going on in the store. Furthermore, he goes to say, he has to look it up. SERIOUSLY!!!!! As if I was making it up. All I was getting was a bagel & coffee. We all know at the end of the day, they probably discard what's left anyway. A FREE BAGEL & COFFEE that doesn't come out his pockets and not at all hurt profits.

If I could rate lower I would. This used to be a nice place to go, but today when I went there was a new person working, I asked for my usual I had been getting with my sip club for as long as I can remember. I always order water with whatever fruit is in house. This time he was rude, did not care to help, went and got the manager and yet still somehow was denied getting this. I never take the time to rate only because I always have wonderful experiences. But this time around things changed, had horrible service. Shame on this location.

The manager of this restaurant is by far the rudest and most disrespectful person I’ve encountered in customer service. I simply asked for a water cup, and she immediately rolled her eyes, sighed, and told me to wait—while another employee kindly handed me one right away. When I couldn’t find the water dispenser and accidentally chose an unlabeled option, she started yelling at me, even as I explained it was a mistake. She then stepped out of her area just to tell me she owns the restaurant and that I don’t need to be there.

Frankly, if you can’t be respectful to customers, you shouldn’t be working in customer service. It’s incredibly unprofessional for a grown woman to yell at a teenager. I’ve also seen others have similar negative experiences with her, and it’s clear even her coworkers are fed up. This restaurant would be much better off without her.

Food is literally shrinking but prices increasing. This is the breakfast sandwich for $6.

How unpleasant that you put the bread uncovered (without any protection) on top of the soup, in addition it looks like it has been bitten; as if that were not enough, an unprotected spoon. I don't understand why you can't offer spoons with their plastic like all restaurants, how disgusting this situation is.

Absolutely Awful – Never Coming Back
This Panera Bread in Parkside, Cary, NC, is an absolute joke. The staff were shockingly rude, condescending, and acted like they couldn’t care less about providing decent service. The food? Don’t even get me started—ridiculously overpriced, laughably small portions, and the quality was downright pathetic. It’s like they’re trying to cut every corner imaginable. And the cherry on top? They don’t even toast items that are meant to be served warm. Who runs a café like this? This location is a disgrace to the Panera name. Do yourself a favor and stay far away—you’d get better food and service at a gas station.

The manager had a very bad attitude. I was for a water cup, and while I was receiving water, she shouted at me that she's looking and to not steal soda. It ruined my appetite because I actually ordered food. I can't finish my sandwich now.

I placed a drive-through order today at 7:54 AM and did not receive my food until 8:03 AM, nine minutes later! While I sat in the line, cars piled up behind me. Since the window to the kitchen was open, I yelled "Hello??" several times until someone finally came to the window to take my payment. At that time I remarked "I've been waiting for nearly 10 minutes" and she responded with "I'm sorry, we are very busy right now." There was no appreciation for the fact that customers are on their way to work/other time-sensitive appointments. When she returned to the window with my breakfast sandwich, I said "there needs to be communication with the customers waiting in line" and she just said "I'm sorry."

This afternoon I called and spoke with a manager (Caitlin) who apologized but did not offer any resolution of the problem. I insisted she explain how this situation would be handled differently in the future, and she said she would "speak to the team". I'm not convinced much will change, so I personally plan to avoid this Panera's drive-through, especially when in a hurry!
