The food is truly authentic. If you're 100% gringo meaning you want the normal americanized fare you will most likely be disappointed. I love their good. The side bar with different toppings of pica de gallo, napoleon, salsa and onions to choose from help you accessorize your meal to your tastes. I really like their thick home made tortilla chips with made to order guacamole with added jalapeños or other hot peppers. Their chips don't break in the dip.

Cinco de Mayo will never be the same. The enchiladas tasted like they had been frozen for over a year. Definitely not freshly made but microwaved. Tacos were good
Placed a large order here $350+ for Tacos for a Sherwin Williams Lunch and Learn event. We have bought tacos from many different places for this event but Rancho Grande was amazing. They had everything ready seconds before I got there! On top of that they had one of their employees load up the car for me and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The tacos themselves were excellent and our customers and contractors were THRILLED! One of the best catering orders we’ve done so far all thanks to Taqueria Rancho Grande. If you guys ever need large orders like that, this place can actually fulfill these order! Muchísimas Gracias!!!

This place holds a dear spot in my heart. My wife laughs at me because I eat here at least 2-3 times a week.
I’m my humble opinion they’re easily the best authentic taqueria in the Raleigh area. Every dish is uniquely seasoned and full-flavored. My favorite is their tamales: pollo or puerco. The tacos and burritos: delicious! The greatest highlight though, all their sauces are made with love; proper home-style recipes!
Also: the staff is kind, friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. Tip them well!

To start with, I've to say that I'm Mexican, being that said, I can tell you that the Food there is always good with many options, they also have an awesome hot salsa and toppings bar to upgrade your taco or quesadilla or platte.
Now the following is just my personal opinion, the atmosphere is good for families but not always, this because one time my wife was feeling uncomfortable by the looks/staring of some guys eating and enjoying their buckets of beers, so we had to leave.
So I'd say, if your couple can handle that is fine else do as we do when it's busy inside, we take it to go.
