The food is absolutely delicious, and the price is reasonable. Very authentic Cantonese Dim Sum dishes. I hope Shanghai Alley can fill the gap in quality Asian cuisine in Charleston, SC. Although Charleston has consistently ranked among the top 10 food cities in the U.S., it has lacked a Chinese restaurant as good as Shanghai Alley.
I have dined in and gotten delivery and take out from Shanghai Alley countless times. On depressed days? Shanghai Alley. On happy days? Also Shanghai Alley. I have tried so many other Chinese places but none of them compared to this place. And every single time I am more satisfied than the next. Nice, quiet, clean, spacious restaurant with wonderful food. My favorites to order are the Dim Sum Soup Dumplings and Singapore Rice noodles. Both are satisfying, flavorful, and never disappointing. I'd highly recommend the place and food all around if you're looking for good Asian dishes with an authentic quality.
