She had to curry chicken & I had the jerk chicken a when you add the little cup of jerk seasoning it kicks it up a notch. When ever I'm in this area again the oxtails is a must try. The Mason's

The food is not good at all. It doesn’t even smell like food when you walk in. The oxtails were greasy , no flavor. Was it just cooked in browning? The rice and peas had a hint of coconut but no other flavor. I spit the cabbage out. The best thing on my plate was the plantains and the beef patty I ordered on the side. I’m trying to figure out if the wrong chef was in the kitchen today based on food reviews they received. They have tables and chairs in a seating area but I was told it’s only to go at the moment which I find interesting. Customer service was decent. But the food is what I paid for. Never again

The food here is a joke. I ordered takeout red beans soup with beef. It tasted horrible. There was absolutely NO meat and just one dumpling. Just tasteless gravy, which I threw away. When I called the store the lady said that the meat probably disintegrated in the pot .. lol… Not to mention she has a rude demeanor. I also ordered jerk wings. The wings were hard, over cooked, and tasteless. This isn’t Caribbean food!!!!!!

My husband went in to grab a plate for lunch. He purchase oxtail, peas & rice, cabbage, and plantains with a side order of jerk chicken. He was highly disappointed with his purchase. The food was flavorless... no Caribbean flavor at all and the chicken had a funny taste to it. We have dined at several Caribbean restaurants and this one by far is the worst.

Always the best jerk chicken. Jerk sauce is perfect level of spicy. I'd buy bottles of it if I could. Rice is well seasoned. Seems like a nice family run business so I shall keep coming!

I had the oxtail, pea and rice, cabbage with fry plantains and it was so delicious the meat was falling off the bone the flavor was on point. I highly recommend a Taste of Jamaica for athletic Jamaica food.

Good Jamaican food, generous portions. I had "jerk chicken meal" take-away and really enjoyed it my meat, rice, beans, cabbage and plantain. Me & my two friends all enjoyed our food. Can't really rate the place for atmosphere because it was a Saturday night and they were only open for take away with no explanation why no table service. We enjoyed our take out at the local cidery.

Was really wanting Jamaican food and I found this place on Yelp. Discovered that it's takeout only but that was my plan anyway. The place is small and quaint. The service was pleasant. We placed our orders and was told it would be ready in 15-20 mins. It actually took over 45 minutes. I would suggest calling to place order prior to coming. We ordered Oxtails with red beans and rice, cabbage, and plantains. My boyfriend ordered the brown stewed chicken. After waiting 30 minutes I was advised they were out of the red beans and rice and they substituted for plain white rice. The plus side, the food was still hot when we got home 20 mins later. Having said that, the food was underwhelming and left much to be desired. It would have been nice to at least get a taste of Jamaica. This is likely my one and only visit.
