We ordered Carnitas Quesadillas and there was very little flavor. The rice and beans combo was good but there was a hair in my cabbage. The service was incredibly slow. My daughter got there first and asked for a high chair and we were about 10 minutes after her and no one had still brought the high chair. I had to ask the bartender for one.

When looking for a reservation on Opentable before a DPAC show, there was a 5:30 time slot. I didnt have Tataco on my list, so thought it may be fairly new. It's definitely not what you would consider a traditional Mexican restaurant. The food has a great flare and good flavor. I wanted to try something 'different' so I went with the Beef Tongue tacos. I wasn't quite sure how it would be, but it reminded me a little of pork belly. It was really good. The rice is yellow and the beans are white. You get bean dip with the nachos. The large Margarita is huge! Hubs got the carne asada which was very tender and good. The service was excellent. It is a large room, so I can imagine it could get loud, but it was normal while we were there. We were there early, but by the time we left it was almost full. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

This is officially my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Triangle—the flavors and range can't be beat... then add to that the super friendly prices and it's a steal, especially given the chef/owner just earned Michelin recognition. Bravo, Oscar!

The venue was great. The food was good but it was offset by the corn tortillas. I prefer flour tortillas, but was not given that option. I would go back to try something that did not come with the corn tortillas. The environment and staff were very nice.
