This is one of our go-to spots for fresh seafood. The owners are super nice and will take time to chat with you while you are waiting for your order. Check them out!

First time of many! Greeted at the door by the proprietor. Lovely display of fresh fish. Ordered the fried flounder. Great price and absolutely delicious. Obviously made from fresh product.

Got about 30 oysters here for New Years. They were great and a fraction of the price I'd pay at a restaurant.

Decent, fresh options at a fairly reasonable price. You can also have food cooked for takeout (fried or boiled/broiled) and food is always piping hot. There is a very kind and helpful lady with a ponytail that's so pleasant to interact with. I don't visit this place often because I'm rarely in the immediate area but when I am - getting some cajun fried fish or scallops is a must.

Finally tried Sea Depot as a takeout order. The staff here are nice and professional. My Mom called me from the restaurant and a staff member spoke with me to clarify my order. I enjoyed the flounder and shrimp. I wasn't a fan of the scallops here. Overall, a good go-to seafood selection accessible to both Cary and West Raliegh residents. The staff here are pleasant, professional, and receptive. To my knowledge (from Mom's viewpoint), it was presentable, clean, and well-lit inside.

Really great place. You can select fresh fish and they'll cook it for you.

After craving catfish for a few days, I decided to stop at The Sea Depot and so glad that I did!The Sea Depot has a new look, new energy and still deliciously, fresh fish. This is a family-run business whose owners are filled with passion about their store. Thank you, Jen, for the tour of your store and offering Cary a great place to shop for seafood!

Judy and I are from Maryland and we're really in need of some good live blue crabs to steam up. We used to live in New Bern, NC (crab country) and could always depend upon our folks to have what we needed. Living in the Raleigh is great for our sports, cultural and dining needs. Finding good live blue crabs has presented us a problem. Not any longer! We found The Sea Depot in Cary today and our challenge is no longer! What a great seafood market. We met Jen the owner and she was most knowledgeable and friendly. Felt like we had made a friend. Anyway we purchased some "collasal" crabs and steamed them up at home. Well let me tell you how delicious they were. Couldn't eat but 3 of them because they were 8 inches point to point and packed full of meat. Our search for fresh seafood is over! The Seafood Depot is our go to spot for seafood. Check them out. You'll be glad you did. Alex and Judy

Nice to know there’s a real seafood market in Cary /West Raleigh. Jen, the owner was there on Hand who walked me through everything and took a lot of time to show me the menu. I got catfish, and it was very clean and perfectly cooked. It’s a nice independently own place and I highly recommend it

I bought a half peck of oysters with a third of them open and rotting, so I called the store owner and she said I’ll give you back some for the dead oysters and then some, soo I pick up about 15 oysters more to make up for the dead ones. I come home and check and all but 6 oysters were dead.. this is after the store owner personally picked these out for me “checking” to see if their alive.. I’m sure they do not know the difference between dead and alive, but at a rate of about 50% of the oysters being dead their going to end up selling to someone who doesn’t know good from bad and end up hurting someone. They need to take the “We sell oysters” sign down and throw away all their dead product or retrain every one who’s got to pick the oysters out on what’s dead or alive.. I have never heard of anyone was buying oysters and half are dead at purchase, but I guess The Seafood Depot in Chatham is a first to achieve this status..
