Had a very nice two night weekend stay. Room was very nice. Dining atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant/bar area and in turn the library room are EXTREMELY noisy!!! Use some sound deadening materials for Christ sake!! We wanted to relax in the library area which is very comfortable but couldn’t last more than a few minutes because of the the noise from the dining room. It wasn’t that there were loud groups either. I had a lovely mother daughter stay with my mom at the Mayton - my first time. We were so impressed with the friendly staff, the beautiful and elegant atmosphere, the quality upgrades and embellishments that made our room and the entire property so lovely. Okay so there are not too many negatives that I have for this hotel. We rented the ballroom for my father’s 60th birthday and had a blast. They accommodated every request and the food was good! I would say be very clear about the cost.
