Our waiter Tristen was great. He made us feel welcome and took care of everything we needed. Everything we ate was flavorful and cooked perfectly. We had a party of 5 so that's saying a lot. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant and highly recommend asking for Tristen.

Great place for a gin tasting, the outdoor area is very flexible with louvers that can be a roof or open air, same for drop down sides and fans. Very comfortable. The tasting was great, food was excellent small portions paired with the gin.

Taste was good. But a little to the dryer side, maybe because things were over fried. Quantity is good too. We ordered fish tacos and tuna melt, both were difficult to eat because of how they were presented. But tasted well. They don't have the zero proof drinks that they show on their menu on their website.

I had super high hopes for this brunch as I had heard great things. We loved sitting outside, it was great - it was raining which was probably good, I could see it getting hot in there if it was super sunny. It was on the expensive side and I was disappointed with the food. You do get a lot of food for the kids meal, but feel you could charge less and serve less food. I had the chicken and egg sandwich and was completely underwhelmed - I hardly touched it. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and also didn't love it. The egg dishes were fine but basic. All in all I dont think I'd go back.

Food is very good. Chance to have a sip of soup a great idea! Lovely Caesar salads and perfectly grilled salmon on top. Service has been slow the twice we have dined here. Perhaps too few staff? Took a long time, 15 to 20 minutes, to get the check.

The food was much improved with the new chef. Ambience is great. The reason I gave it a 4 star is because we ate in the main dining room near the main hallway that feels like you are in a cafeteria, not a fine dining establishment. There are curtains, however they choose not to close them for some reason lending the feel to a cafeteria rather than a cozy, tasteful setting. It's a shame because from the moment you walk into the hotel, enter the bar area and then restaurant, it all feels elegant. The open curtains are a big miss. Our waitress was wonderful despite having a separate large table to wait on too??

Average at best. Nothing special however seems as if the restaurant wants to elevate itself however needs more attention on service. Our server was not too familiar with the menu and the food runner who dropped off the food was not trained well, not professional. Two ppl in our party got the same drink and was prepared differently.

Third time here and each experience has been 50/50 on our appetizers and entrees. Some things are excellent and others are extremely disappointing. Management needs to work on consistency with food and most definitely attentive wait staff.

Overall the whole experience was lovely. From reception, having an excellent bartender in the bar and our table waiting for us when we were ready. The food was very good and our server, Reya ( or Raya) was excellent.

Disappointed in the food here, went on a Monday morning brunch to meet a friend visiting in town. Felt so sorry that I picked this place. She was polite and didn't say anything but noticed that she was pushing her beans aside, asked her if she didn't like beans (thinking it was weird her being vegan) and she said, no I love beans its just these taste like they are about to go bad.. i myself tasted it and yes, it was just old cold beans that they reheated (center cold outside warm) that was just about to go bad. I got shrimp and grits and thought they accidentally poured salt in it, it was so salty. I won't be coming back here, what a shame!! They have a perfect location with a lot of traffic, beautiful decor but the food is just awful!!

Our experience at Peck and Plume was great, I would give it an excellent if our server would have been more engaging, and if the main dining room was not so noisy! It was hard to have a conversation because it was loud! The food and cocktails were excellent!

Even though the Mayton Hotel has been around for a few years I had never eaten at the restaurant inside the hotel. We met another couple for dinner a couple weeks ago and had a cocktail in a cozy comfortable sitting area then headed to the main dining area indoors. (There is a nice outdoor patio also.) We shared a spicy cauliflower appetizer and the smokey fried cheese ..both very good. Main courses were fish tacos also good and easily enough for two people. and Short Rib Agnolotti, the short rib meat is inside the pasta. We really enjoyed the Agnolotti, the only drawback to it was that it was a bit too salty. We finished dinner with a Buttermilk Creme Brulee and agreed to come again and have lunch :)

No place to park. The food was good to medium well. The service was really good. It's just too hard to get parking around or near to the restaurant.

Food was good, but service was fairly awful. We waited for over an hour for our meal to come out after we ordered it. The Caesar salad was average, but it was nice that you could get actual anchovies. The shrimp and grits was pretty solid but very rich. It's a good dish to share.. had a really nice West Coast IPA by Vicious fishes "there be dragons" Ambiance is charming. It was strange. My husband wanted a roll with his salad, and they appeared to have no bread besides hamburger buns when we were told that there was a great bread bakery just down the street!!! They should take some initiative to pair up with the bakery and serve their bread....

Sorry for length. Great Location. Great Food. Great Ambiance. Service questionable. Management response terrible. 3 stars only because we liked the wait staff. Otherwise, it would have been 2 stars. We got there for our 12:45pm reservation and waited til almost 1pm before getting water. We then waited another 10 minutes before anyone came by to take our drink order. We were pretty relaxed so didn't make a big deal about it. Waited another 10-15 minutes for someone to take our food order. We felt like we just slipped through the cracks with communication in the restaurant. We were ok until the two tables, who sat well after us got their food. They were almost done before we got two of our 3 orders. The salad with grilled chicken came out about 5 minutes later. None of the above is an exaggeration. We were frustrated but ok until the manager made it worse. He kept reiterating that the other tables put their orders in before we did. We explained that this was the issue - nobody came to our table to begin with. That didn't seem to be a problem to him. Even the table next to us came over later, saying the manager was obviously gaslighting us. The meal should have been comped and it was only discounted. This is a very nice and expensive restaurant. I expect much better. This might be a one-off but it is disappointing.
