Zambrero is like a version of chipotle with fresher, healthier ingredients and unique sauces at a great price. Most type of meal costs the same low price and are delicious. The workers there are great. The sauces are great too.

Ordered some lunch from Zambrero - Parkside yesterday through GrubHub for a lunch and learn work call from 12p - 4p. I couldn't decide what I wanted after reading through all of the reviews so I ordered 2 things to test out. FOOD: Beef burrito and chicken nachos with trufello sauce. The beef burrito wasn't bad at all. I was hoping for some fresh slices of beef but with the value price points, I kinda thought it would be ground beef and, sure enough, it was. The ingredients were fresh the flavors were good but there may have been a bit too much jalapeno for my liking, and I love jalapenos. The chicken nachos were better and had a great chips / toppings ratio. The trufello sauce cooled down the heat from the jalapenos and the chips were fresh. Was this blow-me-away food? Not really but for a $6 off an order of $15+, coupled with fair pricing, this was more than worth the money. SCORE: 4 STARS!! OVERALL SCORE: The food arrived on time from Grubhub and the food was hot. The packaging was adequate but there were no napkins or plasticware included. Happy I was at home with silverware and napkins already. 3.9 STARS!!

I got the veggie bowl and the ingredients are definitely fresh but I found the food to be quite bland. The sauces don't add much to the overall flavor. The guy who made my food was nice and I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I will not be returning. 3/5 because food was fresh/felt healthy

I like coming here for a burrito bowl much more than picking up Chipotle. The dining area is very clean, and the staff have been friendly and actually act like they care. The food here is higher quality than other similarly priced options. However, it would be great if you sleep on this spot and keep the lines short for the rest of us. ;)

Food is OK. Nothing special. Unfortunately they are really struggling with staffing right now. Last time I was there they had one employee left, the Coke and ice machine was broken and they were out of hot sauce. They have been closed over a week due to staffing issues. Don't think they are going to make it...

Really tasty, fresh food (at a reasonable price) and friendly staff. The restaurant itself was very clean and well decorated. Some other reviewers took issue with the portion size, but I felt it was just right.

Don't come at me, haters, but I find this to be a FAR superior option to Chipotle and other similar fast casual Mex. Their braised style chicken is so flavorful, their ingredients are fresh and they have unique options like forbidden black rice for your burrito or bowl. Also like that they have a philanthropic side. Definitely glad to have them here in Parkside!

It’s nice to have a new place to eat at Parkside. They have delicious food and a great cause, where they donate a meal for every bowl sold. The ingredients seem fresh and the chicken melts in your mouth. Very flavorful! The portions were small and they measure out carefully. I got the dos capos, my husband got a bowl and my daughter got a kids bowl. The chips were good but nothing special. They taste like store bought tortilla chips. Overall good experience.

Have ordered few times now (bowl and burrito) so can confirm the taste is good.I like that despite employee churning, consistency in taste is pretty well maintained.I though feel portion size is pretty small. At the same rate, someone like Mezeh is killing it and has pretty much the same taste with more options.Need to diversify a bit with options and get the portion size fixed.Location is great, bowl is the better option... burrito is better at Chipotle next door.
Definitely fresh products! I wish the jasmine rice and black beans were more seasoned, but the flavor of the pulled pork was still good. The inside of the restaurant was super clean. The customer service was great! I changed my mind multiple times and asked many questions (it was my first time visiting) and I was met with nothing but friendliness!

I heard about Zambrero after they hosted a promotional event at the Northwest Cary YMCA. One afternoon, I was thinking of checking them out so I made an online order. Location-wise, they are located in Parkside Town Commons, right across from Five Guys. After walking in, I was greeted by an employee behind the counter and proceeded to get my togo order. I ordered the bowl with Mex chicken as my protein. The portion size was fine for me and all the ingredients seemed fresh. I also picked the chipotle dressing. Overall, the price point is decent for the quality and quantity of food that you get. I'll be back in the future next time I'm in the mood for something similar.

First time eating here and it was great. Food was sooooo good and fresh! Everything had great flavor. Guacamole was wonderful and not bland. I think the prices were also great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

The food here is fresh but I find the flavors to be a lot blander than it's competitors. This was a plus side for my friend who is allergic to cilantro - she is unable to eat at Chipotle bc there is cilantro in almost everything there, but Zambreros uses parsley in their rice instead of cilantro. They also seem like a stickler for portions as they scoop everything in measuring cups (can't they get nicer looking spoons to disguise their measuring at least?) and I don't love that they scoop hot ingredients with plastic measuring cups. On the plus side, all the ingredients are in their own lidded containers so if you're worried about allergies, you don't have to worry as much about cross contamination.
