Service was slow

I was NOT impressed with the service. We almost left. It was not busy at all. I counted 6 employees not including the guy cooking. We stood by the counter. No one acknowledged us at all. We sat down and waited and still no acknowledgement. I stepped to the counter and grabbed some menus. I asked the one young girl if we ordered at the counter. She said if they were busy they would take our order at the counter. They were not busy. There were 6 customers when we arrived. Either way, if 3 to 6 girls couldn't handle that then maybe they are at the wrong job. There was an emergency broadcast that came over the radio. We kept asking them if they heard it. One girl was busy talking about her boyfriend's birthday and what she bought him and how much she spent. I had to go get refills on our tea at the counter. One waitress that was on her break kept checking on us. That was nice of her. Please train your employees. That customer servuce gets 2 thumbs down. The food was good. I asked for my food to be fried hard. It wasn't because the breader was soft and falling off my oysters. When people pay their hard earned money, we expect the service to be as good as the food. I just wanted to enjoy some lunch with my auntie. I dont get to see her often because i live in Oklahoma. This is not the only restaurant we have visited since I've been here with slow service.

Not sure what kind of meat, if it was meat at all.
Finely chopped, almost granular!!
Dry, with no taste.
Like eating sawdust.
Slaw had 0 flavor.
Might have been 8 French fries in tray and wax paper.
Employees were screaming at each other, horrible.
Absolutely a waste of money.

Needs new ownership.

Got there at 1:00pm . 4 customers in restaurant.Checked out buffet. 3 PCs. of chicken left on buffet ,picked over veg.s, bite size smoked sausage about 5 PCs mixed with some kind of veg. Decided to order from menu. After ordering for 3 adults and 1 child and waiting for 15 min. waitress tells it will take 20 mins. for hamburger steak with 2 sides to be ready. The chicken and pork chops plates were not mentioned. After 15 more minutes waitress was asked to bring other meals for 3 of the four customers. She came back saying none of the meals were ready. At 2:15 she says she is sorry but they are running behind in the kitchen and she doesn't know how much longer it will take. We promptly got up, tried to pay for 3 teas and with 2 registers open they could not tell me what I owed!! Asked how much tea cost.She said $2.50 each.Guess they didn't know that 3 × $2.50 =$7.50!!?? Then had the nerve to tell me a glass of water was 25 cents for the 3 yr. old child!! NEVER AGAIN. They have no respect for their customers!! Could not give true score because negative scores were not offered!

Stopped here on a whim and absolutely loved it. The most quintessential southern buffet. Only gripe was the mashed potatoes were a little cold.

We were starving and this was a good satisfying stop . I took a cheeseburger with chili, added hot sauce in it and it was perfect . I finished my daughter hot dog . Service was excellent , we didn’t know what barbecue was and the waitress brought us a LARGE sample . In the end it looks like a kind of pulled pork or something like that .

We called in and picked up food and it was ready and served with a smile! Great place for good bbq and burgers. Not the best food I’ve ever had but definitely tasty and well priced.
