I'm new to Cherryville having lived in Lincoln County 32 yrs. I worked in the restaurant industry over 30 years and I'm very underwhelmed my first time dining here. My server wasn't so great or attentive and they were not busy. I didn't see anything spectacular on the menu so I thought I would try something different. I ordered the grilled pimento cheese sandwich with bacon and cheese curds. Sandwich came to the table with no bacon and sweet potato fries. I nibbled on it while I waited for them to make the entire dish over again. The pimento sandwich was ok but it was really better with the bacon.BUT They put about half of the pimento cheese on the sandwich with bacon than the first one that was sent to my table. So it was kinda dry. Again not impressed. It's a nice establishment that might just need better staffing. The menu is a little boring but I guess it's ok for bar food. I wasn't there for the bar that day. So I can't rate their drinks. I bartended years & I have high expectations. I'm hoping for a better experience at the other restaurants in Cherryville. I doubt I have a reason to give The Cherry Pitđ another try bc there's nothing on the menu that intrigued me. And the service is sub par at best

Made a reservation. Waited about 20 minutes after our reservation to be seated - no biggie, glad to see a business thriving in this small town. Was planning to treat 6 family members for dinner but we didnât get to that point as other patrons could not handle their alcohol. Please, as an establishment, consider limiting your patrons alcohol and asking people to leave before they had too much. Would not consider this a family friendly establishment even on a Sunday night. Smoking seemed to be allowed on the patio right next to where people are trying to eat with doors wide open; if you like exposure to second hand smoke, this place may be for you.

Old folks Friday night out was made especially fun at the Cherry Pit with Landry as our waitress! Awesome young lady as she laughed, joked and interacted with us⊠Food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. We will be back!!!

First time at The Cherry Pit. Arrived at 7:08 PM. They stated it would be a 30 minute wait, we said ok! Sat down at around 7:30 PM. Ordered our food we waited, waited, and finally around 8:40 PM the food was brought to the table. Expressed our irritation to the waitress. Was not impressed, and definitely will not go back.
