I ordered a fish sandwich and got a soggy large bun heavily loaded with slaw with a very small piece of fish, it was Nothing like i remembered. It had been years since my last visit and definitely will forever be my last. Was a take out order. and the lady was really nice too bad she wasn’t the cook.

We stopped by almost accidentally on our drive home from Durham and we were thrilled with the food and the people running this place. The smoke was perfect on the pulled pork, and trust me, get the onion rings! We plan to make this a regular stop as we visit family in N.C.

Had coffee and the chopped BBQ plate. It’s old style bbq, tasteless meat relying on the sauce for flavor. Crinkle cut fries from the freezer and bland finely chopped coleslaw. I’m not sure about the rest of the food. The service was good.

North Carolina BBQ. Tender, and delish with many sauce options. Huge portions and hush puppies!
My girlfriend and I ordered country style steak with pintos and a side salad, the salad was just cheap brown shredded lettuce and one chopped up slightly bad tomato. the pintos were not seasoned, and tasted like they came straight out of a can. The country style steak looked like a can of wet cat food. Not to mention everything we ordered was ice-cold. We were quoted 15-20 mins for the food to be ready and arrived exactly 20 mins later. So disappointed in the food. Our entire meal was $30 (We also ordered two footlong hotdogs and also cold and soggy from sitting so long.)

Waitress took out orders and brought our drinks and food. Didn't come back to the table to refill our drinks or ask if everything was ok.. She was too busy standing around at the counter up front. I could see her the whole time we were there. Only got offers refills when we were getting up to leave and she finally brought our ticket. Felt very unwelcome will not be going back.

Prices are modest, and the atmosphere is welcoming and unassuming. The staff is always friendly and attentive.
