NO SERVICE. We waited a while to be seated at 4:45pm. We started to walk out. The general manager came out and asked if we wanted to eat there. We returned and he sat us. It took a while for the waitress to arrive. She finally took our beverage order. When she returned she dropped of the beverages and walked away. My tea was incorrect. I couldn't let her know because we never saw her again. Since she never came to take a food order, my husband went to find someone to let them know we were leaving and why. The lady said she was sorry that we felt that way.

I normally love Applebees. Especially in clemmons. My sister and I go here often. Today not so much. I normally get the same thing, well I tried the bacon ranch chicken sandwich and it was awful. It tasted like a frozen chicken patty from the freezer. Not sure if they’ve cut down on the fry portion. But it was barely a palm size amount of fries.

Joe was our bartender absolutely the best service ever. We ordered the spinach dip for appetizer. It was bland had no taste it needed like garlic or something. I had the bourbon mushroom Swiss burger. Came out over done no taste, it had only 3 mushrooms on it, didn’t taste like Cajun anything very bland and a lot of onions and no bourbon sauce. The bartender Joe apologized and made me a whole new one. Tasted better more mushrooms but still lacked the taste. My husband got the whisky bacon burger he loved it but he loves most foods. Joe the bartender made it right with bill and sandwich and he didn’t have too and I appreciated it. Bathrooms were clean. I would return just for drinks but I don’t really care for the food.

Arrived about 7. Got seated. Waited >10 minutes. Asked host who was our server. She came 5 minutes later. Didn't introduce herself. We of course were ready to order food and all. Ordered beer, which sat at the bar for 6 minutes when we decided to leave. Wives did not even get their ice water. Told host who was on his phone slouched in the seating area at the entrance we were leaving due to poor service and our beer and been sitting out. Seemed un-phased. Horrible!!!

I went as a party of four, about 8 pm, 11 June 2025. It was not extra busy..maybe 25 patrons. We were seared by a host. A waitress never showed until we waved the host down for service. After the waitress arrived, we made an order. Drinks never arrived. Food never arrived. We never even saw our waitress again. We did see our drinks sitting on the bar for awhile. We stood up eventually and left. Went to a restaurant across the street. This lixation is absolutely terrible. Cannot imagine going back. Don't know about food or drink quality since we never received anything.

We recently dined at Applebee’s and were very disappointed with the experience. We ordered the sirloin steak. Unfortunately, the salad ingredients appeared old, and there was a hair in one of the salads, which was extremely unappetizing. Because of that, we didn’t eat the broccoli and coleslaw we had ordered as sides.
The steak was also a major issue—it had a strange odor, tasted off (as if the meat was spoiled), and the texture was unpleasant, making it inedible. We asked for a replacement, but the second steak had the same issues. When we brought this to the manager’s attention, the response was, “We do not control our meat quality; it’s delivered to us as is.” The manager was also not polite or professional in handling the situation, which made the experience even more disappointing.
Overall, the meal did not meet basic standards of food quality and hygiene. I would rate this experience a 1 out of 5.
My 8-year-old thinks this is a fine dining establishment and who am I to argue LOL.
