Longtime customer with a disappointing experience tonight. Food was great, as always, and I was grateful to get a quick seat since I was dining alone. But I was super disappointed by my observations of the crew and my overall service experience. I had to wait way too long for everything, including the opportunity to pay. Another 10 minutes and I might have left without paying because no one picked up my card that was obviously displayed. The crew almost seemed to delight in how much they could bang, cuss, and joke with each other. I’m all a jovial atmosphere and having fun at work, but not at the expense of customer service and an enjoyable dining experience. If I’d wanted to go to Dick’s Last Resort, I’d have driven to Myrtle Beach, not Clemmons.

Good food from the shrimp & grits to the filet mignon. Really busy on the weekends get there early.

Even though we live close by, last week was the first time we've eaten there in many years. For the cost and popularity of the restaurant, I expected way better. Steamed clams tasted fishy. The char grilled oysters were worse, with a strong gas grill taste. The stuffed mushrooms were good, and my wife loved her bisque. Our friend ordered the Jamaican me crazy, steak, and shrimp plate and gave me a sample. The flavor was good, but the steak (filet?) was chewy. The staff was friendly and efficient, but considering the cost, the hit and miss nature of the dishes, and waiting time to get a table, I'm not getting the attraction. I probably won't be back.

The crab stuffed mushrooms were tiny! The last Full Moon we ordered left A LOT to be desired and was not fit for two people! It came with eight small cocktail shrimp, six thumbnail clams, 4 scallops, and three small crab leg clusters, The eight oysters were great. The best part of the whole meal was the complimentary potatoes! It's definitely not worth the 1 & 1/2 hr wait nor the price of $62.00!

The dinning area was hopping so I went to the empty bar section. I made my to go order, drank my martini, and waited. The bartender was spirited and fun; made me feel right at home. Within 15 minutes of me sitting down, the bar went from empty to full; which is exactly the time I needed to drink up and get my food. Soon as I left my seat it was taken. It's a middle-aged crowd, 50's & 60's, some 40's. Very lively. I got home and the the fish risotto was incredible OMG!!!

It's hard to rate this experience as it's so split, so I'll meet in the middle. We were stoked to finally get the boil and went for the king crab. Our meal was very disappointing-- the shrimp was so overcooked we couldn't get the shell off. My husband never leaves shrimp and we left 3 behind. The king crab was also overcooked. We could hardly crack into the shell and the meat inside was dry. The menu said market price for the crab, our bad for not asking as it was $80 up charge. No problem had the meal been good, but it stings to pay $129 for a meal that was terrible. The best part of the experience here, and always is, is the server/bartender Mike. He's something special. To be honest, the food is 50/50 sometimes it's good, sometimes it bad. But Mike makes the whole experience, keeps you laughing. It's like a comedy show experience. Great job Mike!!! But definitely could use some work on the food
