Food was excellent. Service was mediocre, and we had to ask repeatedly for condiments (that were supposed to come with the dishes) and drink refills. This was a late lunch on a Friday, and even with only one other table seated, service was slow and inattentive.

Very nice place to eat! Service was great, and the food was really good. I would have given 5 ?, but my noodles and rice were barely warm. I didn't complain and I just mixed it in with my hot food. Overall, I would recommend this place. The spicy tuna roll was delicious!
Absolutely fantastic. The food, the service. The sushi. Fresh and delicious. The Hamachi Sashimi is wonderful. Followed by the Las Vegas roll, Volcano, and Caterpillar.
The service is the star attraction at Koto. From the moment I arrived until my departure, I was well attended without feeling overburdened. While many other patrons were present, it seemed as though the staff were constantly maintaining a sense of what I might need and then anticipating it. In other words, this is what restaurant service should be. You'll find Koto in a Clemmons shopping center, situated just down the way from the Walmart neighborhood store. While the building isn't exactly a lovely sight, the interior of the restaurant is pleasant enough, though maybe a bit dark and certainly not fancy. My meal started out with clear soup and a bowl of salad. Both of these were in line with my expectations, though it was unusual to find a bit of tomato in the salad -- not something that's common in the Japanese restaurants I've visited. Then it was on to the main course: beef yakiniku with a bowl of brown rice. The flavors were nice though the thin slices of beef were occasionally a bit tough. There was certainly no shortage of grilled onions on the plate; I may have eaten an entire onion or more. My actual score would be about 3.8 stars, as Koto offers reasonably good food matched by great service. Though there are a wealth of Asian dining options in the area, you'd be no worse for wear choosing this one.

Stick with the sushi. Avoid the calamari as it must have been prepared by someone who's never had it.Medium price and value

We stopped in for a quick bite while shopping. The restaurant was very clean and the staff greeted us promptly. It wasn't extremely busy so the food came out very quickly which was good. We both started with a miso soup and did the sushi combo. Since it was our first visit here we picked really basic stuff spicy tuna, spicy crab, shrimp tempura. And figured we'd gauge getting more adventurous things next time. Well they definitely passed the test and I'm excited to come back for some sashimi and more rolls! The plates were both yummy and aesthetically pleasing and the price didn't break the bank. Looking forward to our next sushi date!
