Me and my mom stopped by Full Moon Oyster Bar for dinner a few nights ago. I got the low country shrimp boil and it comes with a side of potatoes. The shrimp were large and decently seasoned. The boil came with shrimp, potatoes, sausage, corn, and a slice of bread. The sausage and shrimp were pretty good but the rest was not the best. The potatoes in the boil were undercooked and hard and the corn was bland with no seasoning. I've been here a few other times and the food was better so I'm thinking it was just an off night. Also, I think since oysters are their specialty, that's what I'd recommend getting. I personally don't like oysters so that's why I opted for shrimp but everyone I've came with that's got them say they are very good!

I went to Full Moon Oyster Bar for dinner and was pleasantly surprised to find no wait! I ordered the crab dip, calamari, a dozen steamed oysters, shrimp, and crab cake. The crab dip was delicious and came with fresh bread. The oysters were incredibly fresh and tasty. I could share one pound of shrimp with someone and still had leftovers to take home. Calamari had a nice crunchy texture, and it also had a sweet spicy sauce. Overall, I highly recommend Full Moon Oyster Bar for their seafood and drinks. The pina colada was pretty tasty, too. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and in recent years, they added a waiting area with a bar.

Always an excellent experience. Great food and great service. We've tried many items in their menu and haven't found anything that we didn't like. Prices are reasonable for fresh seafood and the place is always hopping so be prepared to wait. You won't be disappointed.

The service and food in This place is always soooo good! I'm somewhat of a snob and rarely review restaurants, however I felt the need to do so with Full Moon in Clemmons.The pasta seafood dish was absolutely superb. Seasoned to perfection with an el dente pasta and seafood perfectly cooked that I was able to reheat the leftovers the next day with the dish STILL TASTING THE SAME! I steamed it in a bowl over boiling water and took out the seafood until it was almost heated, then added it back in. Not microwaved. It was the best!The staff is always SUPER, introducing themselves and at your service if you need anything. They are the kind of staff that actually deserve BIG TIPS! And whoever cooks CARES about the outcome of the dishes. They have SERIOUS CRAB LEGS on Thursdays at a reasonable price.NOW MY FAV!!!!!

Best raw bar in North Carolina! Oysters,clams. Steamed shrimp. The variety of oysters from various states and coasts. Adult beverages are great. The staff a extremely knowledgeable. I will frequent this place.

The seafood here was wonderful!!! In my group we had shrimp& grits, seafood boil, and "Jamaican me crazy". I will gladly return for another delicious meal. The "shuckers" - waiters/bartenders-@ are a very friendly bunch. Unfortunately the seating concept is not my cup of tea. This is an "all bar top seating" spot. No tables for seating of individual groups. So it doesn't lend itself to conversation with the folks you came to share a meal with. The high seating is also not friendly for some with disabilities. So keep that in mind. If not for the seating, I would have given this place 5 stars.
Food is good, waiters are very nice and attentive, very crowded, you basically sit in a bit table. If you like/prefer a quiet place with no interaction, you may skip this one, or if you are shy. If you are a extrovert person this places is perfect.

Full Moon Oyster Bar is a great place for fresh oysters, multiple seafood dishes, appetizers and salads. They have several beers on tap with some brewed on site, bottled beer and a full bar. You enter into a bar in a separate smaller room. The night we visited there they had live music in this area. The next room is the oyster bar. All the seating is around a really large bar where they shuck the oysters. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and all the servers were friendly. We will definitely be back. This restaurant is a 9/10 for me.

One of my absolute favorite spots in Clemmons/Winston-Salem, the Full Moon is straight out of a coastal town. Fresh fish, oysters, and shrimp are accompanied by great fresh bread, amazing etouffee, and superb pasta. Try the fry basket or the fresh shucked oysters!

We love this place!!! It has officially become our weekend splurge site. Between delicious drinks and even more amazing food, if you are looking for a great spot to hangout as a couple or with some friends. This is the spot! In comparison to other locations, this one holds its own! (We do love the mushrooms at the Jamestown location though) Pro tip: totally worth the up-charge for the potato cake. Just do it.
